I agree but if we are serious about being a contender this year it may make sense. This is a tough call imo cause I feel like with the injuries we are not a top contender but with the addition on Fitzpatrick and the way the D is playing right now are we? That is why I think tonight is a big game, if we come out and Mason lights it up(yeah it is the Dolphins) are we a contender and do we make a move before Tuesday? Also please please please can we get rid of Moncrief?????????? lol

 

What is more of a problem for us right now:

Tuitt's injury and no real decent backup to his position or the fact we have only Ju-Ju as a wide receiver that can catch the ball??

If we think that Tuitt's injury is more devastating then could we possibly look @:
Olsen Pierre (Giants)- Not sure if Giants would trade this guy but he would be a cheaper rental player than Williams for sure
Derek Wolfe (Denver) They easily would want a 3 for this guy..
Roy Robertson Harris (Chi)- Maybe a 4 Could pry him away??
Nick Williams (Chi) I think we would have to give up a 3 for him.. But maybe if we have the chance to extend his contract it may be worth it..

For a future 3rd or a 2nd..we could possibly get

Glad Fitzpatrick is here as stated. This FO, coach whoever can't draft secondary, so they were forced to go out and buy one.

At 2-4 hopefully 3-4 after tonight the next 2 games are against top tier teams. The great motivator best keep the team focused and playing with a sense of urgency.

 

Alualu is a former 1st rounder that we already have. If he can't fill in for Tuitt then why do we activate him on game days? Hargrave can take Tuitt's place when we go with 2 d-linemen.

 

I somewhat agree, I love digger and in the past I have talked about how I would love to see him get more playing time....maybe this is it and he is the answer. As for Alualu yeah he is a former 1st rounder, a failed first rounder and that is why he is here in a back up role. I hope he turns it around now with a second chance but if I had a chance at guys like Leonard Williams or Derrick Wolfe man I would like that a lot better. I just know we are short on draft picks and I understand that.

 

Kraig Riley on 93.7 the fan yesterday was advocating for the Steelers to do all they can to sign Gordon. He could take Brown's spot as the new #1 receiver and open things up again for Juju as the #2 guy.

Ereck Flowers is no longer on the team. Therefore, you do not have to worry about giving two First Round players the fifth year option... even though Ereck was not going to get it anyway. Add the fact that the Giants are building a young corps of defenders and, adding another piece like Leonard is crucial to their plans.



I like the trade for the Giants personally. Keep building that defense. Still need more pieces but getting a young defensive lineman like Williams is a good start.

 

Gordon is a basket case, Guy can't stay clean for 8 months a year. He is and always was unreliable to count on, no thanks.

 

Heck maybe the Giants can do us a solid and trade Moncrief for a LB.

 

No one else is coming in via trade unless it's player for player, or one of our players for a draft pick....

I'm just relieved that AB could not keep his sh!t together. It would have been too hard to watch him get his SB ring along with the Cheats 7th. I liked AB but am scarred by what he did to the Rooneys & the team.

 

I agree and I'm scarred too. Pissed me off when Harrison did it... and AB was a punk for leaving the Raiders for New England. He got what he deserved.
