I think this would be a good trade for both teams. Seahawks want to get rid of Sherman and we can't sign Bell. Straight up trade. I think this would strengthen our DB situation and the defense should be very good. Yeah, our running game will not be the same, but improved defense should help.

    Short answer: no.

    Long answer: noooooooooooo.

The benefit of the franchise tag is we keep Bell for now. Yes, DB is a concern, but not worth losing Bell to be replaced by... Connor? Now Bell is franchised, we have at least a season to see what that drop off would be.

Sherman is making 12.5mil/yr. Almost the exact amount as Bell. Should fit within our cap space.

Lol. Unbelievable. I think madden has warped peoples sense of reality. Why would u trade the top back in the game for an overrated corner who is a bigger headache?

I suspect Seattle would gladly make that deal.

If he wants to play football, we can sign Bell for 2 years.

If Bell talks stall, him for Sherman and a 1st and 3rd, maybe... maybe... Bells injury history and one more drug pop scare me with him. Maybe why Bell is not getting a long term deal.

That's the funniest thing I've heard since I heard about the two guys who walked in to a bar and the one looked at the other and "I didn't see it either" and that was one of the greatest moments of my life. This is close.

Bell for their safety. Sign D Will back and we are good to go.

And the fairytale legend of DWill continues to grow. Next he'll be seen flying around Pittsburgh in red boots and cape.

So Sherman had the almost identical stats that our rookie Burns had last season, except burns had more tackles 65 to shermans 58, both had 13 PDFs, sherman had 4 picks Burns had 3, lets forget the silly talk of trading for sherman and his big contract when we have a corner in Burns who will be better than sherman in the short run and is playing for 9.5 mill for 4 years with 3 seasons left on his contract....

I would think that Bell in his prime is worth a lot more than Sherman is post prime. A straight up deal would be foolish on the Steelers part.

    Okay, I'll play !!!!

After Bell signs his tag trade him to the Browns. They sign him to A 5 yr 75mil deal with 53 mil guaranteed.

We get Isiah Crowell AND their 2018 3rd Rd pick.

Chancellor would be a major upgrade over what we have now.

Im pretty sure the Steelers want Bell as the premier franchise back. If he would be traded....we would need another great back. Conner isn't gonna cut it as #1 back....D.Will is gone
Ben, Brown and Bell is what we want.

I'd rather have Earl Thomas. Center fielder extraordinaire.

This is a great idea...maybe we could trade for Pacman and Larry Johnson too. You know, more high character guys that had a couple of good season for the Steelers to pick up.

Is their any proof any NFL team will pay a running back $12 million or more/year? Anyone want to list the teams who would pay Bell more than we would?

Even if the Steelers were dumb enough to trade Bell, why would anyone trade for him? The date to sign a long term deal has passed for this year. Any team trading for him would be getting him for 1 year at the tag.

Come on Steeler fans, think these things through before posting jibberish.

Some of these teams are dumb enough to do anything, especially Washington and Chicago.
