Mostly about trap houses no? Different trap houses? Are there multiple B-Rads? Probably.

Anyone that uses autotune in their “music” is automatically disqualified for eternity from any best of list. In fact they should be barred from making “music” for eternity and from procreation.

I don't know that I can even list 5 rappers under 35, much less rank them.

Sure, call me old. I still wouldn't care. ;)

musicians make music. also IMO to be classified as a musician you have to be able to A - play an instrument , or B - have vocal talent. Rappers have neither ability . if a poet reads his poetry to someone else's music or sounds they didnt create , would that make him a musicians ?

I understand your point and agree with it to an extent. However, by your criteria a large portion of frontmen/women wouldn’t be musicians if we followed your definition.

I understand, but Dylan’s lyrics were what was important not his voice. Besides he actually played guitar, harmonica etc

I got into rap when I watched the video, In Da Club by 50 cent. I was a solid 70's rock guy until then. My peers just couldn't understand how I liked that "crap". I think what I enjoyed was the F U attitude and with respect to you, I didn't mind them booty's shaking all over my TV.

Speaking of Curtis Jackson, what an interesting life. Shot 9 times, then goes on to an amazing career with music and TV. (loved Power)

One hundred percent totally agree here, or how I like 2 say 100% agree.
It's why I stopped listening 2 it completely.

Would anyone be interested in hearing one of my free styles? Totally off the cuff.

    Here goes:

Hey there sports fans, its Kakhatesmortgages
Goldy Lox and the 3 bears sure ate alot of porridges
Gotta move my stuff into a place with a lot of storages
Then park my car underneath an old rusty bridge.

See? Im pretty good! That was just me freestyling as a way to take my mind off the sad game yesterday and uncertainty at the QB position.

I should have gotten into the raps game before the mortgages game. What a huge mistake that was! Now its probably too late based on my older age. Rap is a young mans game. Ive always felt that...

Are your favorite bands really better musicians than The Roots? Be honest.

List of rap groups backed by actual bands: The Roots, Infectious Organisms, Arrested Development, Lyrics Born, Public Enemy, Kendrick, The Coup, Gorillaz, Tribe Called Quest etc.

It's weird that rap "isn't music" but can be backed by "musical bands."

I don't hate Mike Tomlin. It was just an artistic liberty like most rappers don't actually kill people (not you C-Murder).
