Not necessarily in order, and on a different day, I might list a few different titles:

    • Star Wars (the original first, still don't like calling it A New Hope)
    • Alien
    • Aliens
    • The Princess Bride (also an amazing book, and well worth reading even if you've seen the movie)
    • 2001: A Space Odyssey
    • Raiders of the Lost Ark
    • Back to the Future
    • Army of Darkness
    • High Strung (Steve Oedekerk comedy, not the Jane Seymour romantic one)
    • Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Other great movies that would be close:

    • The Fifth Element
    • Pink Floyd - The Wall
    • Lord of the Rings trilogy
    • (almost) any Star Wars movie (with the exception of some parts of some prequels)
    • The Matrix trilogy
    • Primer (amazing mind-twisting time travel movie)
    • Apollo 13
    • Rudy
    • A Christmas Story
    • Breakfast Club
    • Once Upon a Time in the West

I would put most of these in a top list . Only a few I never heard of. Primer, and High Strung. Never heard of them. Also 1st Star Wars movie is still Star Wars in my mind.
Also this is highly unpopular, but I hated the Lord of the Rings, books and Movies. B4 anyone say ....yes I read the Book , and watched all the Movies. Why did I if I hated them . Because I can't say something about it if I don't know. Also a lot of my friends loved them. I only read one Lord of the Rings books cause I didn't like it. Now the Hobbit is another thing. Enjoyed book and Movies.

I think High Strung was only ever released on VHS. It's written by and stars Steve Oedekerk, who was a writer for Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty. Someone posted the whole movie on YouTube here:

Most people I've shown it to either loved it or hated it, with nothing in between. Just depends on your style of humor.

tongue in cheek aside something like 95% of board members barely ever go outside of the Steelers forum and typically when they do its to General NFL to discuss whatever primetime game is on. I'm sure you've noticed by now that if you post in the watercooler section you have to give it a few days to pick up speed. The mods (Ray, Elvis, Blast and even the Chief(TTF)) regularly stop in here and some regulars do as well when news is slow but as you can see it gets picked up.

Good pick. But how has Mad Max: Fury Road gone unmentioned here? All-time great action movie.
