Too much damn shotgun!!

I know Ben likes to read defenses from the shotgun position and maybe doesn't have the mobility that he used to, but this constant shotgun spread formation is making us one dimensional.

They are not running well out of the shotgun, as the Oline doesn't get much push or open any holes. There's little threat of a run, and they cannot effectively utilize play action.

The D can pin their ears back and go straight for Ben, so he is having to throw in under 3 seconds. The opponent's secondary can then play everyone up at the LOS. Unless it's a double move deep, the offense doesn't have any ability to spring guys open.
