I would give up 2 firsts to move on from him. I supported him too too long. He is not a good coach. Either he is incapable of doing what this team needs or he doesn't know how to. Either way hes useless and tired of seeing an undisciplined team week after week year after year. its gotten old.

Intriguing exploring trading Coach Tomlin to Houston for Watson. They should kick the tires on that it’s a win win . Then go get Bienemy from the Chiefs Watson and Mahomes are similar. We need some new minds in here not this old school people who refuse change

If they somehow found a trade partner for Tomlin I would gladly help him pack his bags. His career hits its peak several seasons ago. The team doesn't even give him the respect that a HC deserves. They see right through him

Right? Everybody says oh all these players love playing for him he's the best, so much respect. Does it look like it the way they act on and off the field?

Bill Belichek was traded from the Jets to the Pats (he was asst HC under Parcells), so technically not HC but was slated to take over for Purcells.

Doesn't matter what we think. I guarantee you ownership is gonna spin this into Covid and injuries and write it off as that. I've never seen a sports franchise that purposely handcuffs itself by its own arbitrary rules the way the Steelers originization does. It's downright bizarre.

The same Doug Marone who has lost 2 locker rooms, the same Pederson who lost his players this year? Felt Lynn got the shaft, his team improved a lot the last 6 games, and was very competitive for most of the year.

Two 1s from my point of view. Likely a 1st, 2nd and 3rd though overall.

He is superb at motivating players. That said, his Clock Management and inability to get his teams ready for Playoff Action are major negatives against him.

And those two negatives are huge. To me they completely negate his regular season success. But they never see it that way.

Some teams may look past that. Take a look at Houston. God knows they would do anything to get a good Head Coach.

We are unanimous in our thinking about Tomlin. He should go (for anything, even a ham sandwich), but I don't think Rooney has
enough courage to fire him. I love the idea of a Watson trade, whatever it takes, but it won't happen either.
I would hope that at least Rooney makes Tomlin fire his OC and DC, and if he won't, then he is gone.

They don’t have to fire the OC, his contract is up and that’s something to cling to for hope because that’s how the Steelers like to do business, by not renewing contracts.

I think he will probably be gone with Canada taking over as OC.

Oh definitely other teams will overlook that because they don't have good regular seasons. I was more referring to Steelers who keep hanging onto that statistic never had a losing season.

Not renewing the contract is so cowardly. I miss the days when Cowher would take an axe to his staff contracts be damned.

I am willing to package Tomlin and the Steelers 2021 first round pick for a chicken sandwhich. Not sure we could find a trade partner

Is it though? They signed a man to do a job for x-amount of years and stand by it.

I don’t always agree with it but don’t think I’d call it cowardly.
