I have three points I would like to make about the leader's of this team, they involve Matt Canada and Mike Tomlin. Both of these leaders are a humiliation and embarrassment to the players, the organization and the passionate Steeler fan base.

    1) The team is not built to come from behind (Matt Canada quote to the public-shameful for the players to hear)
    2) I give the media and the passionate fans bs in my press conferences so they just run with it. (Mike Tomlin quote to the public- that is grounds for termination in itself)
    3) Placing blame on the players for not being physical enough is to why they are losing games and the pads will come on in practice and will correct all that (Mike Tomlin quote to the public..pure ignorance)

All three of these quotes need to be addressed by the Rooney's and immediately. This is certainly not the Steeler way. Both these men are classless.

Tomlin is stale, his time has come and gone. He hired Matt Canada and needs to be accountable for the offensive debacle. Matt Canada needs to fired and now. Tomlin's contract needs to be NOT renewed. Kenny needs mentored and coached.. he is getting neither with Canada. You can't even fairly evaluate any players right now on this team with this type of current leadership. Contrary to what many say.. my opinion is that Tomlin has lost the locker room many times before... and he is currently heading in that direction again. A win against Baltimore will not retract any of my statements.

    Rome is burning.
    But all is not lost.

A good step to get this thing moving is of course, showing Canada the door.
We've seen his best, it is not good.
We need to see our QB in a system that compliments him and for that matter, plays to the strengths of the team.
Right now, Canada is stunting all growth.

Yes. I’m fully aware of how terrible a nickname it is. However, it is well deserved imo. You will have to ask cam heyward why they chose that name for him

part of the problem for sure and highly doubtful that any of the problem solvers are equipped to help in that area. The kid can ball… this system ain’t helping him from tutelage to scheme in my opinion.

That's why we need to replace the OC and attempt to begin fixing him. WE all believe the season is lost with the OC here so why not do it now. Disruptive hell yeah but you have the play book, add some wrinkles to it before a whole change in the off season, but at least you can see in the remaining games if Pickett gets any better and can be coached to fix that issue. Otherwise they will change out Canada at the end of the year and now take another year to determine if he is fixable. Why potentially lose two seasons to find out???

Don't forget to mention the Tomlin quote saying the offensive line play was excellent...after a game when they ran for almost nothing and Kenny Pickett took a beating. It was a complete and total lie. He didn't do his team any favors either putting the blame everywhere else.

That was a bad moment for Tomlin IMO.

This is to everyone not the person ahead of Me( oh wait that's Me)
Would people actually put up a paycheck saying a different OC, and KFP will be fixed, or just made a little bit better, or just good for one year until the defenses figure the new wrinkle???? Just a question.

Oh, well blow my doors off Miss Daisy. He figured that out all on his own? Now there's proof right there that he's an excellent football coach, for him to be able to surmise such a conclusion on such scant evidence. Don't anyone try to tell me he ain't as sharp as a razer, not now, not after that colossal determination.

no but its compounded by the fact that defenders around the league have said the offense is predictable and the formations tip plays. Add that to a porous offensive line and a qb that needs work and its a disaster.

Its not binary one or the other but the oc has shown with 3 qb’s ben, mitch and kp that the offensive scheme sucks. Before you bail on the qb you gotta see if the oc change will help and bring in a better nfl oc or the plays will still be predictable and lack creativity. No matter what the oc has to go. Better to find out sooner than later if KP can be straightened out by eliminating a doubt with the oc now.

STD, I know you like Purdy and I do too. I’d be willing to make the bet that if Kenny was drafted by the 49ers he’d have the same level of success as Purdy.

I would not make the bet that he can be fixed at this point. I hope he can, hell we all do, but I wouldn’t bet a check on it. I’ve watched him actually run himself into trouble and bail on semi-clean pockets MORE this year than as a rookie.

I’m genuinely concerned that Canada and the Oline may have David Carr’ed the kid. He’s seeing ghosts out there.

Didn't we hire a QB coach after the MR and Duck season to be like all the other teams and help prepare the younger QB's. I know that QB coach was none other than MC, but isn't someone else in that role now? And WTF are they doing? JMO>

So the big changes this week are just them putting on pads in practice so that they play more physical. Tomlin is a clown.

I don’t care what any fan or member of the national media wants. Fans generally can’t see the forest from the trees and the national media doesn’t actually cover the team. They’re just pushing clickbait.

I think part of Purdy’s success is the situation he’s in, but I was watching some of the 49ers. Vs. Cards Sunday and there was a play where Purdy stood in and hit Aiyuk on a crosser where Aiyuk was covered if he stayed on trajectory, but Purdy threw Aiyuk open for a big play. He saw where there was vacant space and led Aiyuk to the green space away from his defender. As I watched that I was thinking “Kenny doesn’t even see that, never mind throw him open.” It s not that Purdy is great, it’s just that he’s seeing what’s available and taking it. Would Kenny be able to see that in a 49ers uniform? Based on what I’m seeing, I don’t think so.

Would Purdy be as successful with our OC and line as he is in San Fran? Very doubtful. Would he be better at taking what’s there than Pickett? Yeah, I think just about any starting caliber NFL QB would be.

I’m not going to pretend to know why it’s gotten to this point, but the video evidence is there about Pickett’s inability to see/process information from when we were winning late last year. He made some really clutch 4th quarter plays, but he left a lot of offense on the field before making those plays.

What's interesting (and frustrating) was that Pickett developing his leading of receivers was there to see in preseason. And while that was often against back ups, the accuracy and vision was still there or thereabouts. I'm beginning to suspect there's something going on behind the scenes with Special K's development.

I also think the absence of a run game is making things much worse, and Canada only seems to have two run plays in his playbook.
