I have to wonder if people think Tomlin is a bad coach what you would think of Hairball going for a 4th and inches instead of kicking the field goal

    WOW .. just wow

What kind of person decides a coach is good or bad based on one play? Tomlin gambles a lot himself and I happen to like that about him. I like aggressive playcalling

Well it was a dumb call. I don't consider that's aggressive play calling.. That is stupidity. You take the points

One mans aggressive is another mans stupidity. Not to mention that what Harbaugh does has nothing to do with Tomlin.

You expect that kinda play calling from inexperienced rookie coaches. Not veterans. Your right it has nothing to do with Tomlin. I just was pointing out that if that were Tomlin people will be coming here asking for Tomlins head lol

All coaches will make a gutsy call now and then and either you're a goat or you are a genius.

But I've (we've) seen enough of Tomlin to know he's pretty predictable, his teams never look ready, and lack creativity. We're still going to see the 35 yard cushion on EVERY defensive play tonight by our corners and he is going to just stand there with the deer in the headlight eyes.

I'm a Tomlin hater, but when Tomlin has gambled (which he has done plenty of times), I have given him credit for being aggressive. When it doesn't work, it's stupid, when it does, it's smart. That's the nature of playcalling in the NFL

But, but, Harbaugh gets a pass because he shows emotion on the sideline!

I don't think it's just that but I do think he always has the Ravens ready to play consistently every week. Maybe his emotions rub off on the players positively. You are comparing two different personalities and how it affects their teams respectively

Are you saying that taking three point when down by four when you have been getting stuffed was a bad decision? It was the right thing to do and with plenty of time to let your defense get it back. It worked out just as he wanted, even though he had to punt on the next possession.

it is likely the same thing Cowher would have done.

Its good play IMHO only when there is little time left and you desperately need to convert which of course was not the case in this game.. They got lucky and pulled out a W .. Could have easily went the other way .. They lose by 3 and the error of this call gets magnified

Tomlin's troubles started with one of his very first comments... The game plan is what it is, we won't make changes to it... So in other words, if it isn't working in the first of half, he's not willing to make changes for the second half... in the game plan..

...........and you don"t think that might just be a sound bite he gives to reporters? In other words, "I'm not gonna tell you guys any of our game plans!"

But we have seen it time and time again. If the run is being stopped, then change something, if the pass doesn't work, if special teams.. If, If, If.... The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different outcome..

So my answer is "No, I don't believe it is his sound bite."

But I do believe it's a nice notion.
