I'm genuinely surprised there hasn't been a thread on that before.

:noose: Yeah that was a bad one. There are numerous streets around LA that spell it with a "y" instead of an "i" and habit kicked in. I guess this sinks my chance of getting a date with Danica. ;)

PS - at least I didn't John Kerry it and welcome prospective voters to "Lambert " Field when he was stumping for POTUS back in 2004.

To me, the only point that should be made about Noll, Cowher, and Tomlin is, Noll and Cowher were then, Tomlin is now.

Chuck is the greatest coach of any sports of all time. Noll took a peanut brain, cowboys saints loving blonde bombshell and had him win 4 titles for us.

Cowher and tomlin had phenomenal teams and they puckered their way to championships.

Wait. What you had a chance of getting a date with Danica? How many zeros were behind the decimal? Oh, I get it you were going to catch her on the Aaron Rodgers rebound. Nice.

    Noll > Cowher > Tomlin

Noll: Top 5 NFL HC of all time... easily. But, had a horrific half-decade from '85-'91... excluding '89. 1974 Draft was best of all time.

Cowher: Blitzburgh D of the 90's was phenomenal, didn't have a franchise caliber QB until '04. Played a part in choking away 4 AFC Championships.... January '95 vs. Chargers was an epic failure. Played a role in drafting Troy Polamalu and Ben Roethlisberger. Acquiring Jerome Bettis to replace Bam Morris in 1996 was brilliant.

Tomlin: 2 Super Bowls in 3 seasons. Losing to inferior teams from '09-present. Overall season record is excellent even with 8-8 years of '12-'13. Playoff record is sub-par. Patriots under Brady and Belichick own Tomlin. Drafted Antonio Brown in the 6th round.

The jury is still out on Tomlin. If Tomlin brings home #7 he will overtake Cowher, IMO.

Hey, at least you didn't spell Noll K-N-O-L-L! I was always amazed at how often that seemed to occur back in the day when both Chuck Noll and Chuck Knox were coaching in the NFL. Interestingly enough, I never saw Chuck Knox spelled N-O-X.
