I'm still rather skeptical of a trade, but there seems to be more smoke than I ever imagined.

They are still running his offense. He was a big reason why those personnel aren't getting it done. I have become more and more convinced that didn't just slow Pickett's growth, he and Tomlin actually contributed to his regression.

Tomlin should green light a trade to the Chargers if it is proposed. Going to a team with a franchise QB, a top talent RB, true no. 1 WR and a stacked defense. What coach wouldn’t jump at that opportunity? Throw in Los Angeles and he would be crazy to pass that up

Sounds like she is just piggy backing the Glazer report.

One way or the other they need to deal with Tomlin. You can’t go into the season with him as a lame duck because you wont get a OC worth a damn under those conditions. So either extend him and bring in a real OC and see if that improves the team or move on from Tomlin and completely overhaul the staff.

My guess is that he’ll be extended. Get used to averaging 9-8 every season with occasional “good” years when we go 10-7 and lose by 20+ in the first round. The standard is the standard.

The one thing that comes to mind is the Spanos family is traditionally cheap when it comes to coach's, and MT is not cheap. In terms of location Washington makes to most sense, MT from that area, new owner, but LA (in spite of the taxes, lol) does offer a lot. Actually with what you said, being 2nd (or most likely 5th or lower) banana in that town would have advantages. The press not nearly as hectic as NYC, emailing Mike now to make that consideration, lol.

That would be awesome. Problem is most teams are probably thinking we want to ditch him so they will play hardball on any picks, they know we want to move on. Too bad we didn't do it a couple years ago or even last year probably could have picked up a first round and maybe a 2nd or two first rounds (consecutive years). Now we are lucky to even get a 2nd round pick unless these owners have their heads up their arses.

The way the front office has worked you are likely correct, and honestly the reports we hear are just empty soup until something actually happens, but in spite of all that there is a limit to even Art's patience. We never will know, but similar to the Pat's reports, the Krafts seemed to make a decision midseason when the team still was stinking, and while Bill may stick around, will there be conditions put in place that he just won't agree to? Art's kind of in a quandary, he really cannot put those limiting conditions on MT (whatever they may be) without offering an extension, but would MT relinquish power over areas he covets?

So pleased that Art2 is rewarding mediocrity for only 4 seasons out of 17 with a playoff victory with a contract extension. Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in 7 years, he doesn't deserve an extension. What a fkn joke

Other teams will be interested in a trade if Tomlin is available after this year according to Glazer
