The Commanders owner has ties to the state of PA being the principal owner of the 76ers. It may be a good situation for both teams

Usually there are pleasantries exchanged after games as they go to their transportations.

I was speaking more to their impulsiveness although I don’t think Snyder was firing coaches at the clip Tepper has been but still can’t imagine Tomlin would want to coach for either.

But again, the rumor is coming from Glazer who is supposedly very tight with Tomlin and he only mentioned Washington.

Yeah I'm not a fan of his but I felt bad for him during that. Seemed very defeated.

    A Neanderthal. :hehehe:

Usually, Rooney and/or top brass come down to the Limo areas.
They usually shake hands and exchange pleasantries - ie: "Good Game" "We'll get them next time" "How the kids doing?" etc....

Tomlin and the Chargers? - MT coaching the biggest choke organisation in the NFL?

A match made in heaven i'd say,

Tomlin belongs behind the Mike at this point(no pun intended). All he has is his silver tongue. Yup, he can sling words with the best of them. He cannot, however, coach a Super Bowl winning team at this stage of his game.

It looks to me like he's also benefot from better coaching - is that Tomlin?

I tend to think Herbert would do better on a better run team, the Chargers are snakebit, they've been choking since God was a lad.

Almost like AR2 saying "Nobody is going to tell me what to do" so he doubles down. I hope to God not.

I just think ownership overvalues stability. There are no shortage of excuses and scapegoats that can be relied on to make a deluded decision that Tomlin is - once again - a victim of circumstances beyond a coach’s ability to lead through. Happens every year! Poor Mike! So unlucky!

If they lose out, I don't see him getting an extension.

I noticed that you gave me a very optimistic rating when I said I was sure he’d get an extension. Believe me, that wasn’t intended as an optimistic statement.

They choked because their defensive genius coach couldn’t stop a Division III offense. He also has the tendency to make reckless decisions at the worst time. Remember the Raiders fiasco where all he had to do was sit on his hands and his team would be in the playoffs? Boy genius was too arrogant.

Tomlin will inherit a franchise QB and the defensive pieces to make a deep run.

I like Bieniemy staying on as OC and Assistant Head Coach for Mike Tomlin in Washington. To me that is a lethal 1-2 punch with Mike Tomlin and Eric Bieniemy leading the way.

I would love to see what this this combo could do here in Pittsburgh next year, if Tomlin wanted to stick around for another season and bring in Bieniemy to be O.C..

Tomlin hasn't forgotten how to coach. He hasn't forgotten how to lead a team.

The problem is the quality at multiple levels on the offensive side of the ball. He needs to fire and hire some staff. He needs to renovate the interior of this OL. And he needs to draft another QB who will apply pressure to Kenny from the depth chart.

This offense won't be too hard to fix if he does those things. Tomlin just needs to hire someone on that side of the ball who can handle his **** and make sure his positional rooms are good too.

Yes I don’t see the Rooneys firing Mike T and paying him to sit at home, he will almost certainly be the HC again next season but at a minimum he needs to bring in a proven OC and supporting staff.

There will be several HC jobs available this offseason and I think Bieniemy will finally get one so as much as we’d like it I don’t think he will join the steelers as OC.

Unfortunately our QB room could put off the best candidates unless they see Kenny as someone they can work with

I can't think of a coach with that many years behind him still having any deep playoff runs left in him. He's already got 17 years behind him, I think he walks away at the end of the season and takes a break. Maybe pops up somewhere else as head coach 2-3 years later - like a Hank Stram with the Saints short stint. The days of the 30 or 40 year coaching career are gone, Belichick was probably the last of that breed.
