You're missing the point. This isnt some stupid fan spouting off, this is a peer, who chose to take shots at him on the day he was being honored. If you dont see that as wrong and immature, dont know what to tell you.

No I see it as a peer having a discussion with a sportswriter and not sugarcoating his opinion. How is he taking shots if one person offers up their opinion and Williams offers his? Like I asked Shaner when is the appropriate time? While we are at it, "the day he is being honored." He announced his retirement, he will be honored throughout the coming season, what was happening this week wasn't honoring it was discussing his career and accomplishments and I'm pretty sure no one glazed over the Superbowl losses to the Saints and Seahawks were those peers being wrong and immature for bringing up those failures during the discussion? Nothing said was worse or better than what you'd find on 1st Take or any of the pregame shows when looking at the season critically.

It wasn't a discussion, you keep trying to twist that but Williams butted in. Yeah, its on social media but his very first response was disparaging. He was clearly taking shots at Peyton, don't be glib, you know he was.

The next day would have been fine. Still would have been classless and embarrassing to the Steelers organization but better than doing it on his retirement day.

And Stephan A and Skip are not his peers nor are any other analyst. Whom by the way, I didn't see one trash Peyton on Monday, the day of his retirement. In fact, First Take and Mike and Mike disproved of Williams tweets.

Anyway, I know you like to play the contrarian so I'm done here. You can like Williams behavior all you like but you're not going to convince me of it.

I am not playing at anything Blast I literally find no fault in what was said, when it was said or with Williams. I am not twisting or trying to twist anything two people offering tweets back and forth to me is a discussion. Prisco says via tweet I think he could play next season. Opinion. Williams tweets back what film are you watching? how is that disparaging to Manning? That is asking how you can look at this season's performance by Manning and think that it is any better than say a 40/60 split he could improve? I watched the games Blast, he was done. It was sad to watch because I do honestly think he is a great QB but his thows were floating, he couldn't step into his throws, the shoulder was bothering him. His mind was sharp and I think that allowed him to have some success but this was in no way how he saw his final season going. So I see no foul in having that discussion even on the day Manning announced his retirement. You are acting like Williams broke into the press conference WWE style and proceeded to have a mike battle with Manning or that he ran up on stage all Kanye West style going hold up Peyton you had a great career but you have to admit you played like crap. It was a response to one person's opinion. As far as whether or not anyone else took the opportunity to be real? Well it is Peyton Manning we are talking about here.

I will also add that Williams further explained that when he lost his Mom and his world came crashing down he learned that the real world doesn't stop for anyone and doesn't care about how you feel. So yes even a future Hall of Famer like Manning doesn't cause the world to stop turning.

The "greatest show on turf" was pretty awesome. I think as long as you have a semi competent qb your odds of having good stats are better in a dome as opposed to in the elements. Matt Ryan has a great win percentage at home. He's not nearly the same on the road. He gets to play 9 games in a dome at least per year.

Lol right or wrong doesn't matter at this point. They think it is a distraction and I think they are 100% focused on next season with a SB win as the goal more so than in any other year.. Good things my friend, good things:emperor:

As of late, he's lost 3 out the last 4 to Harbaugh. And we were swept by him last year and the Ravens were a bottom feeder team.
