I take it that is ARII in cammo utilities? Instead of "No Losing Seasons", shouldn't it read, "Rooney Rule"?

They don't trust the line, which is part of why they focus on short throws so much. Of course, today helped expose that the shaky protection may not be as much of a factor as Roethlisberger's inability to throw downfield accurately. He hit on a couple of throws, like the touchdown to Johnson and the ball to Washington to set up Harris's score, but he missed open receivers far too often on throws down the field.

To be honest, I get nervous anytime we go for it on anything longer then 4th & 2.

It seems like when Ben has time to throw he either misses or passes behind the LOS and we hope for decent YAC.

I actually agreed with Tomlin here. They spent 3 downs to get 1 yard with penalties. What makes you think they could get 9 on 4th down? Then give the ball to Rodgers at mid-field. I didn't agree with kicking the FG when they did. The way this offense moves the ball if they're finally moving it somewhat good then it's always 4 down territory imo because FGs aren't winning this team any games. I didn't agree with it any of the games this year. Getting TDs over FGs in the Raiders, Bengals, and this game could've made a difference. The Bills game was a fluke like I was saying right after the game but nobody wanted to hear it.

The problem is either our OC or Ben or both. Whoever it is needs some situational awareness. Know the score, time left, field position, etc. If you know it's 4 down territory then call your stupid swing play on 3rd and 4 then if it doesn't work. It's now 4th and 5 and somewhat manageable. No.. This team takes a shot deep on 3rd and 5 then does the swing play on 4th and 5:roflmao: It's so bad.

More like Tomlin knows Ben will make a crap read once again and dump the ball off for no gain. Better chance of getting a stop and 3 more downs.

It still hurts my head to see this 4th & 4 pass.

Friermuth is right there and Ben has a clean pocket to throw

Again, what's the point of going for it on 4th downs?

I was that person 2 weeks ago. I now want him to be benched. I've seen enough of this train wreck offense.

Hell if he was 5 years younger there is a clear lane behind Dotson who could lead him down field for the first.

It's hard for me to dump on the OLine when they line up in shotgun all the time and only 10% of that is delayed handoffs or draws. So if a defense sends more than they can block the line crumbles. If they jam receivers at the line then the line crumbles if they do everything right and Ben throws it behind the man welll you get the picture.

I mean you can dump on the line, you can dump on the play calling, but when you see him decide who he's throwing to before the snap and never come off...

Who do you blame then? This still is really telling as most have it a few frames before. Pat already has his head around.

Agree a play like this with a younger more mobile QB even if he doesn't throw to the TE wide open, He's jogging for the first down! Hell Rodgers or Brady is running for a first down if they miss the read!

The hole is that wide open! With Jackson that's probably a TD run...

Exactly. I don't know who is driving this insanity train to keep Ben happy but it needs to be stopped.

When I look at the close up heck they run a draw play on that side and PF seals that inside linebacker Harris has a clear lane up to the safety. This debacle is made worse by the fact that you could at least let Harris get into the route instead of hitting him when he is 4 yards behind the LOS.

I was ticked off early when Tomlin lost a chance to set the tone early. Harris had a nice run for 8 yds off the left behind Dotson. Second and two I would of run Harris again just to set the tone and prove we can make first downs running the ball. Instead Ben passes to Diontae for 2.5 yd gain, yeah they made the first down but Tomlin seems to always miss these small opportunities. They will never truly commit to the run game , if Harris gets 6 yds it's time to throw deep and miss, then 3rd and 4 and throw it behind the LOS for a loss of 2. Brilliant.

I was there after the conclusion of last season, but until that end of season :poopy: show I supported Ben as our best chance at QB.
