Tomlin proves his worth, takes down the overhyped Texans

You fellas are ridiculous. Stone has an excuse being so close to the Cleveland water supply.

 

In fairness, the players who have played under Tomlin could have chosen a different sport, so yeah, it's the players fault that the Steelers teams under Tomlin have had a reputation for sloppy and undisciplined play. Not to mention, once they were on the team, they could have had player only meetings and decided to play disciplined on their own.

 

Actually, you can't. Sorry to burst your bubble. Even JuJu fumbling away potential game winning drives didn't lose us those games. A player mistake that takes a second or two doesn't unravel the entire 60 minutes of effort where 3 phases all contribute.

 

No matter how you dissect this post there simply isn't any sense to be found in it.

That's kind of how I feel before I reply sometimes. I read something dumb and it's like, "Hold my beer."

 

It's not about wins and losses when you discuss the diametrically opposed opinions of Tomlin; it's about achievement.

Just like life, there are people who have different expectations. But let's look at the microcosm of football.

1. There are those who are satisfied as long as we are not the worst.
2. There are those who are satisfied as long as we are above average.
3. There are those who appreciate a team that overachieves.
4. There are those who despise a team that underachieves.
5. It is pretty typical of those who are satisfied as long as we are not last, to think that those who appreciate over achievement, are just a bunch meanie poopieheads.

Under Tomlin:
We are not last
We are above average
We seldom over achieve
We often under achieve
Those who can see all of that are just meanie poopieheads.
