Not even remotely close. 94 team made it to the AFCC and lost to a team they should have beat in a close game.

Sunday night the Steelers got throttled in the Wildcard game by the Cleveland Browns. They didn't even show up. I'm still not sure what that was.

I was heart broken in 94, but not embarrased. Sunday I was embarrassed.

They're still laughing (around here), but it's mainly because he was drafted by the Ravens.

I watched him play 1 game, he's athletic, I think the Steelers prefer dropback QBs as their starter.

The Steelers were double digit favorites at home, against one one of the worst Super Bowl teams ever in the Chargers, that loss hurt me the most. When you turn the ball over 5 times as the Steelers did against the Browns, you don't deserve to win.

Jerry Porter single-handedly won that game and he wasn't even playing! :roflmao:

That loss hurt everyone. But comparing it to this year is like comparing apples to school buses.

If you want to compare it to something, the 96' Patriots playoff debacle comes to mind

But if you look around the League most are athletic QBs who can run the ball get out of the pocket types. He has been compared to Kyler Murray and Russel Wilson by scouts

Twice now. First with Rodgers and now with Love.

I'm not no. Just happened to open consecutive posts where you commented about this.

I'm not a fan of his either. But so many people have predicted Jackson's demise and it has yet to happen.

Agree with this, that loss hurt a 1,000 times more and was more embarrassing. They made a freaking SB video and lost to a team they were heavily favored to beat.

They were one game away from the SB they were supposed to go to. Sunday even had they beat Cleveland, still had a tough road to get there and with the way they had been playing the last month, I was not really expecting it.

    94 loss way worse.

Yes, Rodgers and Love were taken in the first round, while a HOF QB was still on the roster. The Steelers tried it with Mark Malone, but that mistake led them miss on Marino.

Well 1994 was a AFCCG, and this year was a wildcard game, big difference don't you think? FWIW Ed Bouchette said the 94 loss to the Chargers was the worst Steelers loss he has seen.

And some of these athletic QBs have accuracy issues.

The '95 team actually learned from their mistakes in '94, barely, by beating the Colts. The Steelers haven't learned from anything over the past five years.

The 12-4 Steelers were 6-pt favorites over the 11-5 Chargers, who had a better offense but not as good a defense as the Steelers. Those were two fairly evenly matched teams.

Yes I did, did you watch the 94 AFCCG? News flash genius winning a wildcard game doesn't put you in the Super Bowl, like a AFCCG does .
