I myself would just like to see a statement made by the higher ups, whether it be MT doing it or Rooney.

What I mean by this is if I own a multimillion dollar company or if I am a boss of several people below me. If those people are not performing there duties, then they can see the door and the next person up will take that spot.

Canada for example, if you aren’t doing your job, someone else is gonna take your duties. Or if Dan Moore isn’t doing his job, take a seat in the bench.

Me as a fan, I want to see something happen, I want to see as a head coach or owner you are tired of it as well and make a statement that as an organization you are at least trying to fix it.

but we see nothing happen, haven’t in how many years now? To me this just makes me feel like the higher ups don’t give a $hit as long as the organization is still bringing in the money.

Take last year as an example. Mitch got Benched and in came Pickett. That was a Statement.

Those press conferences are 95% BS but him saying the beginning of games don’t determine the outcome? Only what happens at the end of games? Pretty dumb comment. So if we got out to a big lead it doesn’t make a difference as opposed to being down points?

It’s not optimism, it’s a fact. We’re currently the 6 seed. If we make the playoffs we do. If we don’t we don’t.

It's really hard to watch the games.
I enjoy watching Pickett and Pickens come along. I enjoy watching a legend in TJ Watt. He is incredible.
What I don't enjoy is Matt Canada's Offense fail to evolve into anything. It is the definition of basic.
His lack of offense puts zero pressure on the other team, and they do what they want against the defense.
I also do not enjoy that when there is the occasional hint of spark on offense, some stupid call kills it.

I look and around the league and it doesn't make a lot of sense either.
The Taylor Swifts lost to the Broncos? Really?
The 49ers got trounced, by the Bengals?
    The Bills are struggling?
The Eagles are the #1 team now?
Dak throws 4 TD's? What is this, opposite world?
    Seahawks are in first.

    It is a crazy season.
There are some very good coaching staffs in question.
There are some great players not looking so great.
There are mediocre players looking fantastic.

It means nothing if you don’t hold the big lead, and it means nothing if you come back from being down.

Sure I get that but to try and say the beginning of games doesn’t matter is ridiculous.

At some point, ownership will have to admit it is time to move on from the Tomlin regime. The team has been on a downward trajectory for more than 10 years.

So going 3 and out immediately and a bad punt, giving Opponent great field position and 3 points doesn’t matter?

It didn’t take the crowd out of the game?
It didn’t cause us at Home to say, “ Here we go again”?

    Every single play matters.

The bolded part is a bit of an exaggeration of what MT said. He didn't say it had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. He said it wasn't determinative. In the strictest sense he's right. The team was in the game with about 10 minutes left.

That of course is 80% of NFL games, which is why the NFL is the NFL. Nearly every game comes down to the last quarter. Of course, that doesn't mean starts aren't important because they are. The really good teams minimize late determined games. They put their opponents away early.

In the bigger scheme, S.T.D. was spot on. What do you want him to say? He can't throw his players or coaches under the bus? He can't say "I'm a lousy coach." either. Saying any of those things and he'd lose the team. The only choice any coach has is to say that they'll go back to the drawing board and try harder (or something to that effect).

we do however keep tweeking the practice squad every week to help this team get better. none see the field but we keep up with that part of team building. our next OC and DC may come from those ranks so it's important.:cool:

there's no excuse to having an inept offense in this day in age. the league has literally done everything imaginable to ensure teams put on a solid offensive display for the fantasy football crowd and for tv ratings. our offensive statistics rival average teams from the 70s, it's putrid and unnaceptable.

I don’t think he said they done matter, I believe he said the outcomes aren’t determined by beginning of the game.

Actually the refs gave 3 points. We actually stopped them, and they would have to punt, but then very late after the play a flag was thrown for magical PI
