Mediocre would be a step up for several teams in the NFL who have habitually been at the bottom of the pile.

A team like the Bears would be a perfect suitor IMO. They have had bottom of the barrel coaching for a while, they have a reasonably talented roster, and could really use a "player's coach" type of guy. A team that wants to take a playoff team to the SB would be a bad fit, but a team that wants to take a 5 win team to the playoffs would be perfect. I could see them being interested. The Cowboys would probably be interested. The Falcons, Dolphins, etc.

I think his time has run its course here. We don't have to think he sucks in order to move on, we can just say things aren't working like they used to. We need to make another bold change (like we did when we hired Tomlin in the first place) and see where it takes us. Our roster is too talented to suffer the same fate year in and year out.

Until the common denominator is gone its rinse and repeat. But the Magoo's will still be on the leash.

Yes they should fire him today!! The Vikings should fire O’Connell for that game Sunday night. Stafanski is a goner as well. The coach from Cincinnati should be available soon after missing the playoffs a second year. If the Bills don’t win the Super Bowl the coach there is going to join them. I truly feel that if any coach fails to win the Super Bowl each year they should be fired immediately and replaced with a coordinator from another team or Mike Vrabel who had major success with Tennessee. They were a dynasty for years. Fire everyone each year and you will probably find a coach for a year.

Tomlin will never allow someone to dictate where he will coach next. He’ll take his time and choose the team/situation he likes best.

If the Steelers ever do part ways with him or Tomlin steps down himself, after 18 years Id imagine he’d take a season off.

I honestly think he'd follow Cowher's path to a pregame show on Fox or CBS. Once he's done, he's done.

I'm just kinda intrigued by this trade smoke. I truly think the Bears are aiming to sell a kidney and liver to get Tomlin, but they're inevitable going to strike out in this at bat that they're gunning for the home run.

You must be new here but you came to the right place to learn so I’ll help you

AR2 wouldn’t fire Canada because he had a contract

He sure isn’t firing Tomlin for the same reason

And he’s not paying him to sit at home

I’ll assume this comment is made out of frustration because it certainly far from accurate

Not only is it not a loosing mentality but it has been a winning mentality for 21 seasons

Now if you claim it is not a super bowl winning mentality then that is a valid argument

No, it's not out of frustration it's a fact, if you have the wherewithal to fire coaches while paying them which an NFL team and the Rooney's clearly do, then if you decide against that and favour the statun quo to save a few bucks then that's a loser mentality.

There's no halfway house between a winning and losing mentality, you're either all in for all the marbles or you are a dilletante.

And what if CBS offered him even more $$$ to simply be apart of their pregame show.

Your reply was illogical and poorly written

So I was giving you the benefit of the doubt

You twice posted something in accurate

I hope this clears it up for you

If not then I can’t help you

My reply was highly logical, I presented a cogent argument to which you had no substantive response to hence the initial snark response being all you could muster, and the subsequent tired old internet snark which followed:

You twice posted something in accurate

If not then I can’t help you

As for being poorly written, I'm not taking any criticism about my literacy from a guy who can't spell "losing" and who thinks "inaccurate" is two words...

Apparently you also don’t know about the spellchecker here

Once someone resorts to arguing about spelling you know they are defeated

You failed to back up your argument such and it was as resorted to tired old internet snark, you lost the argument right there and then.

You can't say something is poorly written while you in turn can't spell basic English words.

Go back to enjoying your "looser" mentality, like I said you're either all in for all the marbles or you have a loser mentality. That's the Rooney's.
