    Sounds cute to me and a really hard way to gain more picks. You are actually empowering the other team by drafting players you don't want /need because now you need to unload him. You've never given good reason as to why not just contact a team and swap positions for picks.

    I'm still trying to understand what all of that nonsense has to do with Tomlin?

    I'd imagine it is for the sake of time Blast, you draft a guy you know a team like the Browns want and have a lot of picks or some talent heavy team like the Eagles who are changing directions and you have more than the time on the clock to work a deal to get the picks or some players you really covet. I mean I understand the basics but I am with you that it seems to much like playing a video game in franchise mode to really work to a teams advantage, its almost like the Rivers/Manning draft or what happened to Elway.

    On a lot of all time NFL coaches lists, people like Bill Walsh, Don Shula or even Tom Landry supercede him. Granted, I am not saying either of those men were not important to the game.. but in terms of coaching abilities, Noll was better. For a further reference.. here are some examples;

    I did say that Noll gets his notoriety worse than what Tomlin did. I never stated he never gets any. In comparison towards Shula, Noll was the better coach during the golden age of some of histories greatest teams. For Bill Walsh, Noll beat him twice and does not have the same amount of hardware. Yet, more often than not... those two have appeared higher than Noll has.

    I was just wondering if it was a local thing because I know fans from there can be tough on coaches and players. Noll took a beating in the 80's with people calling for him to be fired.

    As far as his accolades though, nationally, I've always heard him spoken highly of. I did my own search and he came up #3 (Bleacher Report) #4 (Forbes) #6. (forgot who this one was)

    Fair enough Mr. Furnace. Some people will always have their opinions around the web. Some will respect "The Emperor", others will not.

    Probably no point engaging. The only thing that will get this notion out of PWP's head is an exorcist.
