He was asked where Harrison was, and he said he was on a special schedule. When asked what was special he said it was for those players in their late 30's obviously hinting that they were giving him more rest - he doesn't need all the reps younger guys do. I think James over-trains as it is.

I didn't even like seeing Watt out there in the 4th quarter. No reason to risk injury to a guy who is already proving he can get it done. Sit him.

It's premature Bouchette got it from Porter and Tomlin wouldn't comment since Joey also said two years ago Deebo would only play about 25 snaps which of course he blew away. So Peezy might have that plan but Tomlin hasn't signed off on it.

“I’ll let him address all those bold statements regarding rotations,” Tomlin said, via Penn Live’s Jacob Klinger. “You guy aren’t suckering me into those waters.”

Starting a rookie over James opening day would be insulting. They will not do that.

Didnt they start JJ and he loss his starting position to deebo?
Im just happy to hear that we finally have a player that can beat out a 39 yr old man.

Jarvis and T.J.'s situations are worlds apart.

Jarvis had the youth and experience to take on such a role. T.J. has the youth but not the necessary experience within knowing the principles of the playbook yet.

As much as I would love for T.J. to start, no need to rush it too soon. For T.J., learning as much as he can is key towards the maturation process. The more he becomes comfortable playing, the sooner we will see him.

Simply starting him now after one game is something a franchise like the Cleveland Browns would do.

Yeah Jarvis had a good showing at camp and was showing like he had it all figured out so despite a "rookie never starting in the Lebeau defense" he started but wasn't able to up the level of his play to keep the job and got hurt shortly after as well.

I don't have a problem with Watt starting over Harrison, if he is ready.

I like the idea of having Harrison fresh for the 4th quarter with yet another chip on his shoulder.
