Tomlin is the longest tenured coach in the NFL (18 years); no coaching tree?

This is what happens when a new head coach doesn't even bring a cheerleader with him. He assumes the role of head coach of an ready-made superbowl caliber team and staff.

Tomlin is a fraud and the owners are weak minded amateurs who are OK with mediocrity. There are at least 10 teams who would have fired Tomlin at least 3 years ago or more. The difference is that those teams are championship caliber and the steelers are mid-tier at best.

And all the people who claim any team would take Tomlin are dreaming. The teams who would jump for Tomlin are bottom tier who dont have expectations for championship football. Hell, Philly fired Reid after 4 seasons of no postseason wins. Steelers are on 8 and counting while Reid is going for his 4th SB in 6 seasons.

Can anyone imagine tomlin still having a job in KC, Buffalo, NE, Baltimore, Philly, LA, GB, SF, DC, Detroit with his poor performance in the postseason over the past decade? Steelers ownership is asleep at the wheel.

I have no idea what your example is trying to prove. Reid was hired by the Chiefs 5 days after being let go by the Eagles. As you point out he's gone on to win 3 SBs. That sounds like an argument to keep Tomlin.

As for still having a job at another franchise, MT's playoff record in the last decade (your timeframe) is 3-7. Harbaugh's is 3-6. So yeah I could imagine him still having his job in Baltimore.

I get the frustration but you may need to think through your logic better.

My point is that Tomlin would have already been fired by at least 10 other NFL teams. Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in 8 years. Harbaugh has won 3 during that same stretch. Reid got fired by Philly after not winning a playoff game for 4 years, tomlin is on 8. You might want to rethink your own logic.

LOL. No, not me, you. Don't get your panties in a bunch when I point out your poor arguments.

Harbaugh went 7 years with only 1 playoff win at one point. So is that that different? You asked if one could imagine any team keeping MT with his record? Sure. It's not all that different than what Harbaugh did at the Ravens in one stretch.

You also questioned people who think Tomlin would be hired immediately if fired and said any team that did does not have SB aspirations then cited Andy Reid as an example. Reid was hired within a week after being let go by the Eagles and KC has won 3 SB's. Do you realize how your example actually runs counter to your argument?

Look, I think Tomlin should go also, but your arguments plain out suck.

Whatever dude. You must be related to that douche scribe guy because you are totally ignoring the point and focusing on some immaterial obscure detail. I probably shouldn't have made the point about Reid winning SB's in KC because it has obviously confused you small minded pedants. You should get to a hospital quickly as your cognitive difficulty is a clear sign of a stroke.
