    I don’t think it’s fair to look at that series as THE predictor. Attitude and momentum matter. A defense that’s stopped NO three times in a row AND, seeing a real punt coming, has time to get organized and psyched, will play differently.

    Not fair to look at that series as the predictor? How about the other series the Saints moved the ball and scored? It's difficult to keep an offense like that down. At the end of the day the Saints scored. The Steelers offense had enough time to move the ball and at least kick a FG.

    I’d posted earlier that the Steelers defense was riding three consecutive stops. I think they’d have played differently if they were prepped, psyched and ready to hold the Saints deep in NO’s end of the field.

    Ben threw the ball short on purpose when he saw the CB jumping the route. He threw it away. The ball doesn't have to go 10 yards out of bounds to be a throw away. That's what he did and was wise for doing it.
