And it was a run up the middle. It had no chance of getting 5 yards. At least if the punter had passed it would have had a realistic chance. I'm so tired of Tomlin thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. If he's coaching at any other team he's Hue Jackson.

I really have no problem with the fake punt. I preferred it to watching Drew Brees go the length of the field and scoring with no time left.

Why do I think that? Denver, Oakland, San Diego.

I like the aggressiveness and prefer that to what we saw earlier this year.

I tried, I really tried to believe he was the right man for the job, I allowed myself to believe his record meant something.... I am DONE!!! If he didn't have Ben, Brown, Hines, etc, he is gone within the first five years, the Rooney's have to act, this has gone on for too long, underperforming against bad teams have cost us too many seasons, if this isn't the last straw, I am out!! I have watched Steeler football since 1970, I know when I see a poorly coached team!

A gutsy courageous call to seal the win if it worked. Even if it had worked it was extremely risky from that field position and the play design.
Now it goes down as a STUPID call at the wrong time at the wrong field position and the wrong score.
Show some freaky confidence in your defense and punt them down to their 10 oh yeah we don t have a punter that can do that ok the 25.
Another loss that belongs to the coach.
Thank god the brilliant idea to bring in Riddley to run and fumble against a 10 man front didn't end it earlier for us.

Agreed. Can you imagine the chaos it will be if Ben retires, and then we get to see how bad of a coach Tomlin is without a HOF QB?

 

Why is Ridley in on 3rd and 2 with probably the most important play of the game?

 

Tomlin didn't fumble the ball, miss tackles, throw yellow flags, ect. Some people just love to get worked up for the wrong reasons.

It was a great game. The Steelers had their chances and came up short. They fought like hell to win that game in a tough environment. I don't believe the team should be trashed. Maybe it just isn't our year?

 

No Tomlin miss any tackles or cause any flags, he just called the most asinine call in the world on the fake punt!!
