This is why Tomlin should sink with him

To be fair, Joe Flacco is by far the best QB in Cleveland this season. If DeShaun doesn't get hurt, they've got a worse record.

Watson was starting to be much better, as we saw in his last game in Baltimore

I guess it depends of which half of the Baltimore game that you're talking about.

I hope your wrong. Kickers practice in the Pregame and should know their Distance based on the weather, temperature, Altitude, and maybe even how they are feeling that day. I am hoping that Boswell would give Tomlin an honest answer if he was asked do you think you can make this? Seeing that clip of him on the field ready to go, was probably Boz saying "I got this!"

I live in Colorado and watch a lot of Denver games, and the one thing the announcers are always talking about is where the Kickers were making FGs from during the pregame. At this Altitude those visiting kickers love to be hitting 60+ yard FGs in pregame because they can.

It's a dome. Things don't change much in domes. Kickers these days are hitting 60 yarders more than ever. If you look at that clip of Boz on the field when Tomlin called him off, you can see his body language. He wasn't happy. Him pulling on his chin strap with frustration says everything I need to know. There's no chance in hell Boz told Tomlin he couldn't make the kick and then had that reaction.

Tomlin is not a moron. Making what he does and basically doing nothing but bring the tradition down ( to quote Ben). If his boss doesn’t fire him he would be a moron if he left.

I'm going the other way with that one. A healthy Chubb would have made DeShaun better and with that defense I thing the Cleveland Browns would have been a strong team.

Question: Why did Tomlin call those Time Outs at the end of the game. Only to get the ball back and run 2 draw plays to end the game?

Has anyone asked Tomlin about those time outs at the end of the game, so he could run 2 plays up the middle?

I can't argue against this. A healthy Chubb is ALWAYS a good thing.

The Steelers biggest issues are at QB & middle LB. The Steelers QBs don't have the ability to consistently execute at a high level.

The injuries to the MLB position get exposed every game. There are really no answers for the MLB injuries. The Colts attacked the MLB position over and over and over again.

You're not wrong, but why is it that other teams backups are so much better than ours? Indy had a banged up OL, 3rd string RB, backup QB and their #1 WR was out. Basically their backups lit up our backups. Seems to be a common theme.

We still have one guy on this board blaming the injury to Shazier. Like come on, it was over 6 years ago now.

Was his plan to force the Colts to kick the FG and score 30 points?

The Colts plan was to run the clock out and win 27-13.

Every team watches tape on their next opponent and we will see every team feast on the middle of the field until the end of this pathetic season. Meanwhile we for the most part still ignore the middle of the field.

MLB situation is terrible right now can t even call what we are putting out there as second or third string guys, they are practice squad guys or other teams casts offs.

Offensive line is still well below average in pass protection, some other teams will go max protect and only send two WR out in pass routes, of course they have crossing routes and better designed plays.

SO SO tired of Tomlin and his empty promises of change , change should of been to can Canada after year one. When we put up 106 yds of offense a few weeks ago Tomlin says the defense didn t tackle well enough.

I had some hope this year and I will get excited about our draft next year but this coaching staff from the head coach all the way down to the special teams coach is sub par.

Still holding out hope the new front office can build a decent offensive line but seeing both our starting wide outs being mental midgets and so fragile emotionally is troubling.

It is just sad to see how low the standard has been lowered.

Man do I ever miss character guys like Hines and Jerome and Heath.

The one thing Tomlin had going for him was the players played hard for him if that is gone then he has nothing left.

Game by game situation. Sometimes it's not about who you play but when you play them.

Ultimately, it boils down to how well a team performs on game day and over 60 minutes. Make costly mistakes and the chances of losing only increases. Play well and limit mistakes and the team will have a good chance of winning. Those are the constant and common themes in sports.

He's a great coach for a veteran team that is one piece away because he is a great players coach and treats the players very well. Veteran teams with great leadership don't need a task master and know what to do (Ala, Troy, Farrior, Ike, Bettis, Harrison, etc) so he was a great orator with catchy cliches and motivating speeches. Once those leaders trickled away he was exposed. So can he go to another team and find success, yes if its a team real close but if its a young team he has to build the result we have here is what will happen over and over.

The difference in getting over the hump is the attention to the fine details and is the margin at times between winning and losing especially for elite playoff teams where generally everyone is good. Just remember at the time of our last Super Bowl win, we would have owned the worst collapse in Super Bowl history had Ben not pulled off that miracle only now eclipsed by the Falcons collapse.

I understand that fans are frustrated over the losses. I remember the same things being said when Cowher was the HC.

You know the MLB situation is terrible right now. NFL coaches generally can't over come having to start 4th string, 5th string, or other team's practice squad players.

Forget all you know about this, "Offensive line is still well below average in pass protection, some other teams will go max protect and only send two WR out in pass routes, of course they have crossing routes and better designed plays." KP is one read Kenny. Trubisky is stealing money. Mason is what he is. All 3 could have long careers in the NFL as backups or 3rd sting QB's and earn good money.

Bettis and Hines were on the last Steelers team that had a losing season. 2003 6-10. 2004 15-1 with a rookie QB. 2005 11-5 win SB as a 6th seed (1st time in NFL history)

The best advice I can offer is to understand what happened and not overreact.
