Tomlin interested in Hue Jackson as OC?

just going to throw out some stats....... i know they are not the end all be all but................ pass attempts oakland 521 rush attempts 386. steelers PA 360 rush att. 339. we seem alot more balanced then hue. he likes to throw it around the yard. just saying.

sorry , my bad cru. good catch. i wrote down completions for us. i am not without fault. we were still however closer to balanced then they were, and they still threw near as much as we did. he's not a 3 yards and a cloud of dust guy by any stretch.

You guys know, there is a lot more to this than the number of times a pass or run was called. On the surface, this looks balanced. But, peel a couple of layers back and we get right back the situational play-calling ineptitude. For example, when BA called the 4 straght run plays on 1st and goal from the 3 yd line against the brownies and got stoned 4 times. I believe that run-run-run-run was the right thing to do, but the specific plays called were doomed to fail. First of all, Rahtard shouldn't have gotten the calls, it should have been Redman in there - strike 1. Secondly, Rahtard ran behind the RG, which I believe was Foster. and IIRC, Pouncey was out and Legs was at C and Kemo was playing LG. The D knew that fat arse Kemo would pull and rahtard would run right behind the RG. Why? because everyone has seen it 99% of the time we run - the other 1% is the dumbarse delayed draw to mini-memo - strike 2. No real FB to lead block and try to use a TE as lead blocker. DJ got destroyed. - strike 3.

On a side note, I thought the sacks were counted as runs. Doesn't the negative yardage get tacked on to the QB's rushing numbers?

Another side note, after rewatching some clips from the first brownies game where Ben got injured. I watched that play several times and the OL did their job. Ben rolled out to the right and just held the damn ball too long. Throw it away. Or better yet, pull it down and run up the field. Ben had a couple of blockers and could have at least gotten positive yardage. That injury was all on Ben.

Great, after a meeting with Mendy Hue goes to drawing board to design an offense around spin moves and dancing. But I do like the idea of Hue Jackson being interviewed.

And to now defend Mendy after I kicked him in the nuts, the Steelers dont use him right. They need to use him in the passing game. Few years ago Steelers used him a little bit and he was explosive....... then someone thought the wr screen was much better add to the play book.

Yes I think your right they need to use Mendy in more passing . short passing dink and dunk. Similar to how our third down back memo was used

I think Hue Jackson is a good OC, but he had lots of issue when he was with the Raiders. When he was the OC for the Raiders, he was undermining Tom Cable (HC). He was back stabbing Tom, so that he would eventually get the Raiders HC job. And when he was the HC of the Raiders, he was so full of himself. He just talked too much.

If I were Tomlin, I would have a hard time trusting him as my OC after what happened in Oakland.

That an old article the ravens have since signed Cam Cameron to new contract for 2012 to be the OC there.

It's clear that Cameron is not the answer for the Ravens as offensive coordinator.

The potential for the Ravens to become a potent offense is there. It's time for Hue Jackson to take the reins as the play-caller for this offense.
