Tomlin haters

Penalties are NOT up dramatically around the league. They are up from last yr from 6.1 penalties per team per game (for 52.5 yds) to 6.9 penalties per team per game (for 59.5 yds) this year. Penalties are up but by less than 1 per game.

What IS up dramatically are penalties by the PGH Steelers up from 4.75 per game (for 40.5 yds) last yr to 11 per game (for 96.7 yds). More than double. Last yr the Steelers committed 76 penalties in 16 games, they've got 44 already this yr in just 4 games.

Penalties are up a little around the league, but that doesn't come close to explaining the huge increase in yellow from the B&G.

While the Steelers are on pace to double their total penalties from last year, they are on pace to exceed last years number of bonehead penalties by a factor of 4!!


But, hey, it's the refs or Godells fault right?


Edit: format doesn't read to well, basically the Steelers have had 12 penalties so far in '14 for 15 yard face masks, personal fouls, unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct. They had 12 total for all of these in 2013, and only 9 in all of 2012

 

Actually Deion said that he thinks Harbaugh has lost that 9ers locker room. They apparently think he's too hard. It really must be horrible going to so many NFC chamionships and a Super Bowl ya know? LOL. For the record I can't stand that guy and haven't been able to since I was about 13 years old and even remember not liking him when he played for the Bears. Apparently he can coach though.

 

Are they only doing it in Steeler games? These kind of penalties aren't up four fold league wide.

 

If I'm Art Rooney II this is how I handle losing to Tampax and two 8-8 seasons: I replace my office furniture, desk, phones etc with destroyed furniture, desk...then I dawn a banana hammock for a meeting with him in said office where I offer him ice cream and talk about remodeling the office and Chinese pre-Ming art. Only thingTomlin will be sure of is, he never wants to be called to a meeting in that office again. It could work.
