I talk about those who had been selected for the pro bowl that year

A reasonable argument could be made for Shazier since he would never play again prior to being selected. With that being said. What difference doesn’t make since it’s a poor measuring stick?

You played your hand in other posts. We both know what it is and it has nothing to do with football.

Harrison did play some. MT wasn't even sure they wanted him as a starter at the time. He was a fill in at that point. that team had a huge SB hangover that year. Cowher was just so happy he finally won one he went on a look at me tour, then retired.

Why didnt your golden boy replace him sooner? You 2 explain that to me, Ill wait. Im sure both of you will place blame elsewhere. Hope your goldenboy wins a playoff game this year with the hall of fame qbs he got. If not you 2 can blame our new oc. Your arguments have become quite stale, hmmm sorta like your HC.

Steelers underachieve and have no playoff wins in 7 years and yet it’s everyone’s fault except the HC. Signed The Steelersfans board expert panel :roflmao:

I'm not even one of the "Fire Tomlin" regime but I just want to make sure I'm correctly following the rules of the board. It is never acceptable behavior to question Tomlin or suggest that the team move on from him until he so chooses himself, correct? I'm assuming each member will be correctly notified if that were to change.

Also, can someone please explain to me why every discussion about two players/coaches leads to a feud over who's better? Reid may or may not be better than Tomlin. However, to argue the fact that he is a creative offensive mind and has played a big role in making Mahomes better, is just plain ignorance or stubbornness.

Well… I AM being totally honest, and I think your argument about money and investment pertains to players with more significant investments than what we had put into a backup QB. I’ll repeat - a backup QB. Tomlin absolutely had free rein to go to Rudolph much earlier than he did. No doubt whatsoever.

I mean the argument makes sense when it came to Pickett because although a terrible pick was still a first rounder and had to be given chances. But Mitch Trubisky :lolol: he could have been benched after 1 Q and nobody would have given a damn.

The point is that Harrison didn't flourish until after Tomlin arrived.

Tomlin didn't commit to him, but he gave him the opportunity he never got with Cowher.

The biggest issue with that 2006 team was Roethlisberger. Between the motorcycle accident and the appendectomy, he was a shadow of his normal self as they buried themselves in a 2-6 hole during the first half of the season.

cowher had starters in place. harrison in his own words said he wasn't 100% committed before that. dick LeBeau was pretty instermental in harrison getting that shot because keith Butler wasn't sure about him.

I think that last narrative comes from Harrison's first start when they were forced to start him at the last minute because Porter got himself ejected for fighting in pregame. I'm not sure that was still the case or not by the time Tomlin was the head coach.

So Harrison's commitment changed for the better under Tomlin. If that had happened under Cowner, I guarantee 99 percent of this board would have given Cowher credit for it.
