When I read this title, my first thought was for some reason, it might have been a joke and a picture of MT on the torture device known as "the Rack", extending him, LOL.

It's a 3 year extension. He's already signed for this year, so the next 4 years.

Yet, Tomlin will be the last HC ill ever see for the Steelers. But, as others say , we wont never have a losing season!

Pirates will win a playoff game long before Steelers win one. Let that sink in.

We were in the Playoffs 4 times in those 7 years. I get last season. I was just happy they made it last season and did not expect to win that Playoff game. 2020 really PO'd me but the #1 blown Playoff game for me was 2017. I expected to be in the Super Bowl that year:(

I was going to say I'd bet the house against that but except for a few money teams parity seems to have come to the NL. A lot can happen but I could see an 80-82 win team make Playoffs. If it was us by some miracle I absolutely could see us winning the Wildcard game. Years ago the Chicago White Sox won the World Series. They had better hitters then us but the reason they won it all was their staff was INSANE. It'd be one hell of a miracle.

2017 was very bad and missing the playoffs in 2018 was inexcusable.I understand for the other years even in 2020, when Ben was on the big time decline in the second half of that year, but at the same time, we need to have results at some point... It's true that Colbert was not good at the end, QB position was bottom 5 caliber in the last 3 years, but decisions like keeping Matt Canada for another year in 2023 is all-time bad, one of the stupidest decisions in Steelers history. It was obvious that it was going to be a disaster.....I don't know if it was Tomlin who made this decision, if it's him this is a big red flag for him but maybe it was the owner too or together

Regardless, the key for 2024 is going to be the QB position, if Wilson is very good, the Steelers have a chance, otherwise it's going to be a 9-8 caliber season again

Is it safe to say that AR II is simply accepting stability for the sake of accepting stability at this point?! Doesn't make sense initially but the team has now had a seven year drought without a playoff win. Part of that does befall on the likes of Colbert and Tomlin but now, the other half falls on AR II as well.

It is very, very frustrating to say the least. For that matter, its pissing me off.

Im old! And MT will never leave on his own. I appreciate all MT has done for the Steelers, but to me it is past the time to change the guard.
I do realize nothing his is fault, but every great regime needs to make changes to stay ahead of the times

Was the same for Chuck and Bill. I didn't doubt that the Steelers were going to merely part ways with Tomlin though I wish that AR II would have done a Contract based on year to year. Frustrating all the same.
