I can always go either way with Tomlin but I think one of his greatest weaknesses are the coaching staffs he puts together.

It’s funny, I’m usually very excited about the stories I read about players this time of year, so and so is doing really good in camp, all that stuff, I soak it up like a sponge. Not this year, I’m just like, meh, let’s see it on the field when it counts.

But, the one thing I do find myself excited about is the coaching staff this year. I believe Tomlin can still lead the team to the SB if he has good people around him. Smith, Tom Arth and Zach Azzanni are all very good additions. I think Tomlin did a really good job putting this staff together. Hopefully it pays dividends.

Who cares? Cowher didn't beat the Patriots when it counted in 2004 AFCCG .

Bills fans laughing at somebody what a joke, when McDermott hasn't even made an AFCCG. They had a loaded roster and a top 10 QB.

Maybe those high priced All-Pro defensive players should show up and dominate, Watt, Heyward, and Minkah haven't done anything in the playoffs .

The Bills played the Bengals at home in the playoffs and got punched in the mouth, that shouldn't happen when you have a QB like Josh Allen.

No, Noll didn't coach in 12-game seasons. The league had switched to 14-game seasons by 1961. Noll took over in 1969. The Steelers were 1-13 in Noll's first season as head coach.

Even if Tomlin passes Noll's win total, nobody with a clue will ever think Tomlin was the better coach. Tomlin is probably going to the Hall of Fame, but he's nowhere near Noll's level.

How many championships has their coach win with one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL?

4 of the 5 teams who gave up fewer points per game were in the top 6 in points per game and yards per game. That means the defense was on the field far less than our defense. The one team that wasn't was, weirdly, the Chiefs, who ranked 9th in ypg and 15th in ppg.

I’m surprised. One thing I notice is it’s not just media outside of Pittsburgh that has a high opinion of Tomlin but the fan base of other teams as well.

The 3 other time was against the chiefs....The bengals were still a great team in 2022 and Josh Allen played hurt in the second half of the season that year

I'll give you the Heyward factor. However, with the addition of Queen and Wilson, and especially if Holcomb can get back healthy, ILB will be a strength of this defense. Same with JPJ and all of the new additions, including Sutton. CBs should be an excellent group, especially if Trice pans out.

I needed Google for the exact year the league made the switch, but not to know that it was before Noll's head coaching career started. I thought the Steelers' going 1-13 Noll's first season was common knowledge.
