I agree, but keep in mind that what you are accepting as fact is also played up by the media. I couldn't agree more on the recent hardware and I firmly believe that had it not been for the environment created by coaching/management we might have had recent hardware. There is no denying that this "organization" has squandered golden opportunities recently.

I think you’re overselling the drama/locker room angle. The 2016 team won 9 in a row to overcome a 4-5 start, which is not indicative of a team being consumed by negative drama. When that same team lost in the AFCCG it was because the Butler and the defense got schooled by the Pats’ offense and had no clue what they were doing, because our offensive game plan centered on Bell - who left the game in the 1st quarter, and because our # 2 and 3 receivers that day were Coates and Hamilton. The next season the team prevailed in a lot of close games to go 13-3, which is indicative of a solid locker room. When we lost to Jacksonville it was because Butler and the defense were once again horribly schooled, whereas the drama-makers on offense rebounded from a slow start to hang 42 on a great defense. If you want to say that last season was negatively affected by locker room drama, I can see that as having played some role, but it’s also easy to point to a number of critical negative plays and situations that have nothing to do with drama that killed the season. Boz’s yips. Conner’s critical fumbles vs. the Browns and Broncos. Grimble’s fumble. Butler getting horribly schooled in the 2nd half vs the Chargers. The failed fake punt vs. the Saints. While I do think coaching has contributed to the squandered opportunities, the evidence points to the failings being related more to game prep, game management and poor decision making than locker room drama. I do think the drama played a role last season, but only last season. The evidence in the prior seasons points to a solid locker room (or at least solid by today’s NFL standards).

When I said the "organization" squandered golden opportunities I meant all of the above.....and the locker room drama that built over the same time frame. None of the players contributed to being outcoahced, or poor game plans, or poor play selection....... and the asshats simply did what any spoiled child without guidance and leadership will do 100% of the time.
