The Thead about telling the players was from Tuesday and had no comments from Rooney. This is from today and directly quotes Rooney about an extension. Maybe you’re a time traveler and are just way ahead of the game. Hey can I have the powerball numbers for this coming Saturday?

Both threads now have the tweet that matters. Anyone’s fantasy about a new HC can be put to bed.

He’s not a time traveler he was actually alive in the 1800s.

Once MT announced he was coming back an extension was clear as day. My only hope is that this season appeared to wear on him the booing and overall dissatisfaction from Steelers Nation was higher than I can remember. If they struggle next year the crowd will get even uglier and maybe he will get so beaten down he will finally walk away. That’s all I got about this news as I knew when they won those meaningless games down the stretch this was inevitable.

Pretty much true, no surprises here. We can probably thank TJ and Cam for talking him into staying, that's if he was having any doubts about it. I hope TJ will be happy with never winning a playoff game in his career, but I'm sure he'll be more than content with having lead the league in sacks for a few years

Cam was a good player (Clearly washed now) and TJ is still in his prime but man these dudes are not even close to the leaders Farrior Troy and Hines were. Not even in the same universe. Those guys knew how to step up in big games these two are either hurt or invisible.

Seeing that once was enough for me, no need to rub it in

All I know is he needs a whole different approach this season. If I don’t see that then I know it will be status quo once again which I’m pretty much expecting these days.

I said this last year when Tomlin kept Canada: Canada was the scapegoat for 2023 in order for Tomlin to get another extension.

It's easy to predict Tomlin's decisions. All the emoticon users and hall monitors were bashing me when I said this exact scenario would happen.

Next scape goat: Pickett. Mark my words.

I wonder how Kahn and Weidl feel about this? Do you think they had any say in extending Tomlin, or was this 100% AR2?

I am so bored and tired with Tomlin. Is there no best before date on him.

Coach doesn’t matter…until Steelers have a legit franchise QB they will be stuck outside of the AFC elite.
