Tomlin brings in Referees

I think you take too much for granted about all players and coaches knowing the rules. I remember Switzer watching a kickoff land well after 10 yards and just stare at it while the other team jumped on it for a turnover. I believe it was because the other team punted the ball instead of kicking it off a tee and he treated it like a punt. This demonstrated two things:
1. We either have some really dumb players or they really don't know the rules, and
2. Danny Smith, why is he still on the staff because, damn.

And that it is NOT "their" responsibility to teach "his" players not to make an illegal tackle, definitely don't make an illegal tackle out of bounds, and don't hit a QB two steps after the has released the ball.

Maybe the refs just sat in a film session with Tomlin?

Refs: That's illegal coach.......that's illegal coach.......that's illegal coach......nope, don't throw the challenge flag when your guys score.

Tomlin: I'm throwing my challenge flag...... you guys have to tell them, if I do, they will get their feelings hurt.
