They aren’t going anywhere next season. Might as well make peace with it and find something else to discuss that may actually be a possibility.

    They should both retire.

I might win Mega Millions on Tuesday.

About the same odds of either of them ever sniffing a Superbowl again.

    Tomlin isn't going anywhere.

But I dont believe Ben will be back. He sure looked like a guy who knows his career is over after the game.

Ben's tears were probably because he blames himself for this loss. He thinks he let the team down.

    He did.

But unlike someone else, he'll actually admit fault. Tough loss for him. Tougher still if this is his last game.

Last 2 playoff games he has put us in an early hole, and the rest of the team is unable to bail those mistakes.

    Sucks

He threw the ball too much this year, the offense was out of balance.. We did not have the running game, and that is what the Steelers need to focus on.

They should've turned it over to Rudolph when they drafted him, and built the team. The same thing applies to Ben, he can do it, except he is way more expensive and the contract is hurting the team. That was a bad decision.

It’s tough cause I don’t want to see Ben in another jersey, but it’s time to move on.

Yeah, saw that when he was sitting there.

Tough to say if it’s because he played his last game or because he threw 4 picks or maybe both. Either way, felt bad for him. Ben brought this team back to glory, been a long ride and if it was his last game, I’m very thankful for everything he gave to this organization, left it all on the field.

Agree. Tomlin's teams 2011 on are traditionally sloppy n win on talent, mostly

He us arrogant or comes off so n his team reflects that. Ben in particular feeds off that n not what he needs, but we are well past that now

Cut Ben n fire Tomlin is best course of action. if They haven't been back to a SB by now it's clear they aren't getting there now

    Just my opinion n .02

My first ever foray into the NFL started with Troy. Learned about Big Ben soon thereafter. Going to miss him for certain as his legendary toughness and unique style of "Backyard Football" has spawned an everlasting amount of memories for me personally.

However, like all good things, it must come to an end. Father time always wins. To quote Tony Stark from Marvels Avengers: Endgame:

"It's all part of the Hero's gig. Part of the Journey is the end."

Thank you Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger Sr.! For everything! May your retirement allow you to live out your days in peace and happiness!! :steelflag:

I'll take Ben, but only if we revamp the run game. No more running out of shotgun.

For those of you that want to keep saying Tomlin is going nowhere, that may be true but the realists here are going to tell you so long as he's back this team will continue to flame out and underachieve.

The tendency is to want one last hooray since you still have Ben and some old timers,(Av, Pouncey, DeCastro, and Haden) plus Tuitt and Heyward. But it's done. Too many guys leaving and too many past their prime. And no cap space at all.

I'm not saying you completely blow it up, but you gotta be creative.

Look at Miami. They just blew it up over the last two years and they almost made the playoffs. Have two 1st and two 2nd round picks, and about $400 million in cap space.

no cap space is an understatement. Not even accounting for the free agents the Steelers are 22 million over the lowered cap for 2021.

If your management is crafty and smart today, you can flip a roster fairly quickly IF, IF you press the right buttons on draft days and are smart with FA's. As well as this team has drafted WR's and LB'ers, they have been polar opposite with their defensive backfield. Tragically bad.
