First ballot, no doubt about it. Same with Philip Rivers.

Mike has only had Ben. Was there another option or am I missing something?

That's right. Tomlin only had Ben, yet has not been able to get the second championship. It's probably more Tomlin than Ben, because Tomlin allowed a certain culture to exist, but Ben wasn't the greatest teammate or had the great work ethic to carry the team.

I don’t know AQL that Denver loss vs TIM TEBOW was pretty pathetic. The SD loss was more heartbreaking because it was at home in the AFCCG but come on! TOMLIN lost a playoff game to freaking TIM TEBOW!!!!!!

If you read the original post in the thread you would know it’s not really much of a discussion.
Do you think he’ll make it?
Not do you think he deserves to

Of course, in the politically correct culture we now live, he will make it. More so on longevity, than actual championships. HOF Coaches should be about championships won. If you want to add conference championships for guys like Bud Grant and Marv Levy, I am ok with that. Should Tomlin get in and LC Greenwood not get in, then the answer should be no.

That's what these dopes don't realize. Stan Humphries was the 11th rated passer that season, O'D was 14th for comparison. The Chargers had the 5th best rushing defense in the league, bad matchup for the Steelers' run heavy offense. They won one fewer game than the Steelers in the regular season in a tougher division, the Steelers had four wins against the 3-13 Bengals and 2-14 Oilers. Those teams were much more evenly matched than heartbroken Steeler fans care to remember.

The 2011 Broncos? Won a division at 8-8, 25th in points for, 24th in points against, a QB who completed 46% of his passes, and the Steelers trailed them 20-6 at halftime. A complete abomination of a game.

Those are my two most heartbreaking loses. Took me a long time to get over the San Diego loss. The Tebow loss I got over sooner but took a ton of sh-- from so many people I know who are not Steeler fans.

Do you think Tomlin should be in is the question that should be asked? But Tomlin has been discussed, disected, analyzed, etc. in a thousand threads, so I get it. If you want to ask a cotton candy question, then go ahead.

You can certainly start a thread asking that question. I get it though some people can’t read and answer a simple question.

Your leaving out one was at Home, and one was at a place the atmosphere is so Different our Key player couldn't even go there. Ryan Clark is out there that Td 2 end the game doesn't happen.

What's that got 2 do with what I just said???
Did I say they were great at home? Did I say they couldn't be beat at home?
No. Not once. So let me repeat it in easier terms.
Because of the place they play a Very Key player in our aging Defense backfield could not play. If He could....that last TD pass doesn't happen.

That Steelers team was never going anywhere though. The 94 team was one game from the Super Bowl. That's why it is way worse.

Huh? I responded to the quote that Mike can't win without Ben and replied factually that he has only had Ben. I see a culture of winning seasons that cannot be disputed. Mike has had his issues and so has Ben but football is a team sport. The Steelers have won a lot of games with both as part of the team.

Those guys on that defense were starting to get old, they missed the playoffs the next 2 seasons.

The veteran's committee will eventually vote him in, but it will be sad that the HOF did not honor LC when he was alive.

It’s funny watching fans make excuses for Cowhers terrible losses. The 94’ playoff loss was one of the worst losses in Steelers football. 11 point favorites, a team far more dominant to the injury riddled Ryan Clark-less team that lost to Tebow. Both terrible losses but please, the Chargers loss was far worse. Tebow loss more embarrassing.

Oh, and how about players under Cowher didn’t do the stupid things that Tomlins players do? Oh really? Ray Seals predicting that the Chargers would put up zero points against them or even better, Eric Green leading a meeting to discuss shooting a SB video.
