Tomlin was also at Louisville, I'm assuming for Mauldin and Holiman. I think it's almost a guarantee that OLB will be one of our first two picks.

    Todd Haley was at Kentucky?

I wonder if LSU will get a visit for hunter and Virginia for Harold and harris. I also wonder if we are or did take a look at stephone Anthony. man he looks pretty talented. I just wonder if he could make that switch to the edge?

Maybe he's there for the networking opportunities. ;) :lolol:

I saw where he and Porter were at a bar in Louisville last night. What a time it would be getting those two liquored up. :)

Hmm... I'm torn on Dupree. He's kind of the opposite of JJ as an OLB prospect. Tons of physical ability, but tons of questions about how he actually plays the game.

Barring a trade up, I think Dupree ' s pro day just put him out of our reach

Dupree had dinner with the Steelers (Tomlin, Colbert et al) Wednesday night.

Last month, Casey Hampton was quietly signed on as assistant talent liaison, which explains the Steelers free agency inactivity.

it don't hurt any for him to be there. I have always thought offensive coaches can evaluate defensive players as well if not better. they can look at a guy and say, that is a kid I would have to gameplan for. may be wrong

Can't be coming out of the budget either, that's tied up in the weight room.

As much as I love bolstering the front 7, I'd go with JOhnson as he has some good tape on him to go with his outstanding measurables.

I agree. Dupree is talented, but the talent doesn't translate on game tape. There seems to be something missing.

I looked at some of his highlights, I really like him! Not sure what level of competition he was facing exactly. Kind reminds we a little of Silverback the way he gets underneath a guy.

if you are talking about Dupree, then the competition is as good as it gets. Kentucky always plays Louisville in nonconference and then the sec conference schedule. not picking a conference debate but my point is he has played against the some of the best
