wow... you're wildly wrong. First off, the Steelers haven't run any 1-5-5 this year. They don't stand up Heyward or Tuitt... ever. If you think implementing formation changes can be reduced to a five minute discussion while pretending all blitzes and stunts remain the same.... I literally have no words.

We do run plenty of 2-4-5.

You don't have to stand up the Zero in a 1-5-5 and I know the Steelers have not used it this year ...I have noticed the 2-4-5 and I actually like that look as well against Denver . I actually like putting the zero head up in the dirt and slanting to strong side .. Blitzes and stunts are not that complicated as long as the DB'S are not involved .. It does get a bit harry when you start changing coverage responsibilities ... I am not suggesting that at all ...

Some of the best Blitzes in the world are a simple tWo man game when a LB starts keying in on something.. A simple tap to the NT or a simple word when he sees a back leaning or a split to tight or a leg set deeper on a OG. A very easy way to create A gap pressure and it takes 5 minutes to teach ...

It's not a 1-5-5 if Heyward and Tuitt have their hands in the dirt. We don't use a 1-5-5.

And yes, stunts are very different dependent on the position and gap you are stunting from/to. Changing that, to something someone has practice exactly NEVER, is .... beyond comprehension (as a suggested solution... in the playoffs... to get ****ing Jordan Todman a helmet.)

    Bizarre...

"it takes 5 minutes to teach"

Todman should have had a helmet games ago and this D should or could have been Implemented games ago...Who knows maybe they do have a 1-5-5 and have never showed it ? And yes if you only have 1 DL on the field whether up or down it is still a 1 something ...

1-5-5 ...aka.... Amoeba defense. Mangini used it years ago in the regular season to beat the Patriots when he was Browns HC.
