This isn't the official one though, this is just what Fox viewers think. But, maybe it's a precursor of things to come

Proof that no one should ever question anything on Fox ever again. Period. End of story. The End. Fin.

I think what will hurt TJ's chances to win the award will be the fact that the Steelers didn't make the playoffs. A lot of voters will think that yes he had a great season but it didn't lift the team to a playoff spot.
I hope I'm wrong, it would be great if he did win it.

TJ deserves it. 4 pro bowlers on the defense and an 8-8 season. Our offense was horrific

That's why I wanted them to go 10-6 and make the playoffs, that would've helped his chances of winning it.

    Hey Hanratty#5.

Yes, unfortunately it seems that for the majority of these type of awards, in any sport, requires the player's team to make the playoffs to win these type of honors. I never bought into that but it does seem to be a prerequisite; which really is unfair IMO. Obviously, one player alone cannot get his team to the playoffs. How many times have we seen in sports a player get snubbed for such awards. This, after having a record setting individual statistic year, on various levels, but his/her team does not make the playoffs or even finish over.500 for that matter. Its just not fair I tell ya'.

Did you mean the guy who won DPOY in '08? The only undrafted player to win it? You mean James Harrison?

    Hey santeesteel.

I am not sure who the poster was referring too. I am pretty sure it was Harrison. The poster may want to look at it this way. Yeah, I am also upset that he went to the Cheats. However, he was presented with a lot of false promises from Tomlin and Company. All the man wanted to do was Work. He was told that he would work. However, it never happened. I cannot blame the man for leaving. I will take him any day as a boss if he is going to bring that kind of work ethic.

Also, do not lose sight of all that he did for this organization. In part, without him there may have not been any Super Bowl XLIII Steelers' Championship. He was incredible on field for us. Mr. Harrison brought his "A-Game" every time he put on the Black & Gold. He gave me far too many great memories than to be hung up on him leaving us because he wanted to work and was denied the opportunity after being promised that he would. The man's journey was a difficult one. However, he was a true model of perseverance that we all can, and should, be proud of.

Agree TJ did exceptional for us last season. I'll bet his agent feels pretty good too. just hope this doesn't cost us too much more next year when his agent comes a calling.

Have you ever tried to eat an egg before breaking it? It's really messy!

I had to translate that by the way:smiley1: when I hear the word huevos I instantly think eggs, salsa, and beer!

TJ not eligible for DPOY until next year. NFL has already exceeded the Watt DPOY allocation for the decade.
