i really like the Pick but isnt he like 10 punds or so too light compared to his height??? I dont want a new Jarvis Jones hahahaha... Am I missing something concerning his speed or other features he has compared to Jarvis Jones....

Don't worry about that, he's probably already working out with James.

After weight, theres no comparison between Watt and JJ. Watts burst, flexibility and bend are all much better than JJ's.

Light or not, TJ fights with his hands better than most prospects coming out of college. It should offset whatever he lacks in size.

I'm more concerned about his knees.

Height/weight doesn't mean a ton. Combine numbers like 40 times, shuttle times, broad jump etc. tell what type of athlete the guy is.

Some guys are like Dupree and are just physical specimens. Some guys play at a lower weight based on the type of game they play (Von Miller, Clay Matthews)

Look at Clay Matthews as the type of athlete we have in Watt. They are very similar height/weight wise and had very similar combine times in many speed/agility categories. Jarvis may be similar height/weight but he was never the athlete Watt is and had a spine condition. TJ's height/weight won't define his career.

TJ has gained weight since his college season ended, he's up around 252 lbs. I don't know how you consider that light .

His look seems very deceptive to me, the couple times I've seen him on TV he looks thin but then he's listed at 255 and it's like one of those mind blown commercials. He's just out of college so he's still got time to put some muscle on now that he'll have a paycheck and can eat. Let's just hope he doesn't add Lamar Woodley weight. :)

Saw a Facebook post yesterday that looked real stating that their 1st Rd pick asked his agent about the feasibility of being traded to Pittsburgh lol

He weighed in at 252 at the combine back in February, I wouldn't be surprised if he's already up to 255 now that he's completely dedicated to offseason conditioning. TJ is marked at 6'4 but he's closer to 6'5, about an inch and a half taller than Clay Matthews. IMHO he'll probably round out around 260 pounds, which is plenty big for the position.

He will end up playing in the same spot as Timmons sooner then later.

His weight is definitely deceptive. He looks thin compared to Hines Ward behind him.

Watt at 247 is like Dirty Red and Shazier now... comparing weight and height.

T.J. Watt's NFL combine profile has him at 6'4" 252. I believe a player's greatness is inside his heart and his head. Or as Lee Iacocca put it: "fire in the belly." Which of the following NFL Hall of Fame linebackers could have been a better player with an additional 10 lbs.? Take note T.J. Watt is heavier than any of them.

    Jack Lambert - 6’4” 220
    Bobby Bell – 6’4” 228
    Ray Nitschke – 6’3” 235
    Lawence Taylor – 6’3” 240
    Chuck Bednarik – 6’3” 234
    Dick Butkus – 6’3” 245
    Harry Carson – 6’2” 235
    Kevin Greene – 6’3” 247
    Chris Hanburger – 6’2” 218
    Ted Hendricks – 6’7” 220
    Junior Seau – 6’3” 250
    Derrick Thomas – 6’3” 243
    Andre Tippett – 6’3” 240

Lol it honestly would not surprise me. The Browns are a talent graveyard, it must be a bitter sweet moment to get into the NFL but then come to the realization that you are on a team that will never achieve anything. So you waste away in purgatory for you rookie contact.

No he won't. Unless its the end of his career and shows he can make the switch.

Why? I don't understand this comment at all. He's an OLB and that's where he's needed.

I would chuckle if Jarvis Jones led the league in sacks this year at AZ. Imagine the whining here on this message board. :roflmao:

I remember talking to Mark Bruener his rookie season, and he referred to himself as a 250 pound pipsqueek.

Lets see timmons was a TE... then Timmons was ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker prospect in the nation. Just like Watt....
He began his rookie season as the backup right outside linebacker to James Harrison. Twilight Zone Music playing now..... You guys are way to serious...
