I guess you need to tell the other teams we face that they can stop all the single, and chip blocks, and all the double, and double, and chip blocks then. Because I haven't watched one single game this year that that hasn't been done.

 

That's reckless to put stuff like this out there without knowing all the facts.

Coach Mike Tomlin spoke after practice on Thursday, addressing Watt's health.

"I'm a little bit cautious about what I say, because I am not a medical expert," said Tomlin. "But to make a long story short, he was experiencing some discomfort when he was at the facility yesterday. So, we took him to the docs (doctors) and they're going through some procedures. He stayed overnight in the hospital.

"He has a lung situation that's being addressed. I think he has some testing and so forth ahead of him this afternoon, and that's all I know at this juncture.

"He and I communicated last night, he was comfortable, and that's all I have really at this point.

"His status for Monday night is really up in the air. I think what transpires this afternoon is going to provide more information for us. I just don't have a lot as I stand here today."

Tomlin said he didn't know what promoted the discomfort or exactly when it occurred.

"I don't know specifically when it occurred," said Tomlin. "I know he was in the cafeteria at one point and that's kind of when I got wind of it."

Tomlin was asked if Watt was dealing with anything that would have had him on the injury report at any point.

"Not to my knowledge at all, particularly in game or after the game, nothing," said Tomlin.

 

Hope that this isn't "serious" in life terms (vs. football terms).

 

I'd assume it could be something similar to the Tyrod Taylor situation... Get a standard injection and have the needle puncture a lung accidentally... I don't know what's actually happening, but its a possibility.

Who is trashing him? I don't blame him for being overpaid. That was the Steelers' mistake.

Seeing him for the good player he is, rather than the great player he used to be, is not trashing him.

 

There's just so many possibilities here that it's just irresponsible to speculate.

Which is sad, because of the treatment Watt receives, the other players on our team should be feasting.
