    I agree completely on this year’s DPOY. Watt got robbed by Myles.

    In fairness, in 2020, Donald had a great year for an interior lineman that year. To me, it’s not completely fair to only compare sacks when thinking about a DT vs LB.

    I wasn't just comparing sack numbers. Donald was not as dominant as he had been for several seasons before that. Watt really started his reign of terror that season and has been a more dominant player and playmaker than Donald or anyone else since the beginning of the 2020 season IMO.

    TJ did win the Deacon Jones award, so he did win an award. Unless that award means nothing, but I still think TJ was honored.as was Najee Harris. So, Steelers were still relevant.

    I've had this discussion elsewhere. People have this idiotic notion that all Watt brings is sacks. I have little patience for such ignorance.

    The fact of the matter is that Garrett was ordained DPOY before the season even started. And they used every convoluted, twisted stat to keep that narrative going regardless of how many times he COMPLETELY disappeared in games. Micah Parsons is just jelly. He can't hold TJ's jock - and he knows it. TJ had to tie the damned sack record (should have broken it if not for a ticky tack call) just to eke out DPOY. Garrett just has to be decent. There's definitely people within the league putting their thumbs heavily on the scales. That includes influencing games No. Not fixed. Not "scripted." But influenced. Sometimes to keep a game close for ratings. Sometimes to give one team a decided advantage. It couldn't be more blatant if Roger Goodell came out on the field with a steel chair.

    Yeah, I've been drinking. What of it?

    I doubt most fans even heard of pass rush win rate until this season, they had to create something to justify giving Garrett DPOY, despite him not finishing no better than fifth in all of the major categories.
