Well the Cardinals made Byron Leftwich the O cord this past weekend.
It’s not gonna hurt the Browns to let someone else try.

Wow! I just said to AQL that it would be one or the other, not both.

    Didn't see that coming.

From what I heard yesterday and why I thought it would be him getting fired is there is a lot of friction behind the scenes, especially between Hue and Haley but with other people as well.

This is Haleys MO, he's hard to work with. I'm sure what he offers wasn't worth it to them if he is alienating everyone. In season coordinator changes can work, Ravens went on to win the SB after canning their OC.

Actually, that's exactly what it means. It is even more of a level playing field when you have revenue sharing and a salary floor.

The Browns have the same opportunity to win as every other franchise in the NFL. There is no built-in disadvantage. They just have lousy owners who chose incompetent front office people in the past. Dorsey seems like he will change that, but it takes time.

Wonder if Haley is brought back. And this is the 6th Browns coach to be fired after a loss to the Steelers.

Upon further review, he was a candidate to be fired.

If you watched Hard Knocks, you saw the friction. Haley was clearly unhappy with Jackson's way of doing things.

Actually... long contract and promoting him to head coach would be fantastic.

    I thought much the same.

“Hue, we just feel you’re taking the team in a direction we’re not comfortable with...”

The fact that Hue Jackson was allowed to head coach an NFL team is a travesty in itself. Haley is Haley. He is a nutjob.

Second coach only to Don Shula for most wins in a span of his first eleven seasons now constitutes as average?

    Care to elaborate?

Tomlin is no different than Andy Reid and Marty Schottenheimer, IMO. He's a good regular season coach, but more often than not... Tomlin's teams fold in the playoffs like a cheap tent. Even if the Steelers win the AFCN and get into the playoffs, it's gonna be one and done. Again.

Sorry to disappoint, but my favorite team is the Steelers and I wish they would hire a new HC.

It starts with the QB in this league and if you get a good one and can build a team around him your chances to compete go up exponentially . If you can get lucky and find a very good HC to go with it then you're cooking with gas...

Just more proof that 6 seasons of Todd Haley in Pittsburgh was 6 seasons too many.
