The issue primarily is that the game plans generally do not favor us in almany of these contests sans 2011.

We now have the talent to take New England head on. It is up to the coaching staff to put the players in position to succeed. Until the game planning gets better from the coaches, no matter how much talent we have, the result will remain the same.

You can't blame the Refs when the team on the field had no answer for what was going on around them. 10 yard cushions on receivers, holes in the secondary like swiss cheese etc.etc Steelers showed up, that's about it. No fire, no desire in a hastle environment knowing the Pats were going for the knock out. It's all about who wants it more and who's going to play more mistake free Football Steelers will bounce back and we will be there.

No doubt but I'm not going to ignore them and how you have to play the Cheatriots and refs. They are NEVER on the wrong side of calls. Clear fumble that changed the momentum. It took 3 quarters for them to call a flag on them. "Goodell hates them" but never screwed by refs. It's because everybody respects these cheaters too much; media, Steelers, refs, whole league, etc.

Psychological warfare by the media. They do the same with Saban. They tell you how great and unbeatable they are then teams and coaches go in with the mindset they are going to lose. Other team is always the ones making stupid mistakes. Every bounce goes their way. It's unreal.

It takes a dominant, game changing defense to beat the pats. Look at how the Ravens and Broncos beat them. You can throw all the money you want at AB, Bell, and Ben but the results will be the same. We will never get out of the AFC with a mid level defense.

I am thoroughly disappointed in our preparation, execution, effort against the Pats.
We have better talent. If this game doesn't clarify the short comings of our HC
I don't know what will. Now Ben is popping off? Somebody better get a handle
on what is going on, ART II you really need to look into what transpired here.
I hope ART II is asking lots of questions.

It's time to build a defense/team to beat the pats. Ravens did that to us

On the contrary, what team do we need to fear besides the Pats?
If it's only the Pats, then we need to come up with something for them.
To break apart a team that was only one game away from the Super Bowl is a panic reaction that will be self destructive. All the talk of jettisoning Ben, Bell or Brown is the exact opposite of what we should be doing. It takes a generation to accumulate elite talent. And now we choose to get rid of it? Makes no sense. People speak highly of the compensatory picks we'll get.....geez.....
Your top 10 highest paid players win the game for you and the others and the coaches put them in a position to win it.
Houston had good success with them when they got to Brady. Denver last year DID have success against them when they got to Brady. The New York Giants won by getting to Brady. The Ravens always play them tough because they are physical. So there are ways. Getting rid of your STRENGTHS is not one of them.

    1. The mentality of 'We will always lose to the Pats' is dangerous and we need to dismiss that immediately.
    2. If TE Ladarius Green were healthy and effective, we would have had THREE mismatches and scoring threats against the Pats. Without him, we had none.
    3. Brady over Ben and Gostkowski over Boswell are the only two players on the Pats, as individuals, that were better than the counterparts on the Steelers. Still think the solution is to jettison Brown, Bell and Ben? You're crazy.
    4. Getting rid of Brown and Bell because of character issues is hurting the team like getting rid of Mean Joe Greene when he threw the football into the stands his rookie year and got kicked out. The cure would be worse than the disease.
    5. Further, TE Ladarius Green's concussion issue is different and isn't a character issue like smoking weed or being a media whore.

Ben has a year or two of being a top 5 QB, a year or two after than of being a top 10 QB. And he's paid for thru 2019.
We have the top WR when he's hot.
We have the top RB when he's hot.
We have a strong, young, deep and paid for OL.
We need one more serious receiving threat besides Brown. He might be on the roster already.
Half the defense is on their first contract (therefore young) as I recall. Improvement.
Cam Heyward is coming back (what if HE was rushing Brady in that game)
Against the Pats, the defenders couldn't tackle. Teach them to tackle better.
Against the Pats, the defenders looked 'scatterbrained' according to Tomlin. Unscatter their brains.
Against the Pats, the defenders weren't ready for the hurry up offense. Get them ready.
Against the Pats, Tomlin said we didn't blitz more because it wasn't effective. Then, frickin' make it effective.

To improve a roster, you don't get rid of the top 1/3 of the roster and replace them. You get rid of the bottom 1/3 of the roster and replace them.

Getting rid of Ben, Brown and Bell would be like pulling the flowers and leaving the weeds to make it better.

At one point in the first quarter, we were moving the ball on offense pretty easily against them. No hope? Sorry, don't agree.
