His heart might not be in it anymore, retirement could be a option.

    Yep.

Home is where the heart is. Lawrence's first "home" in the NFL was Pittsburgh. Tomlin was his father and James Farrior was his father figure. Soon thereafter, it was his turn to lead and become a leader for the Steelers.

Age catches up to everyone; their cost doubly so if it is someone as consistent as Timmons. I would also concur Timmons does miss being here with those he essentially "grew up" with.

Either way, I hope he finds peace within himself and wish him all the best.

Riche Incognito but outside of him during his days as a Dolphin, I am not too sure.

I doubt it though. Lawrence was well liked when he first arrived in Miami.

The Florida authorities should have been looking for the Jaguars defense.
Hope it was minor & Lawrence is well.

Aww, I'm sure there's a support group exactly for this sort of thing.
Who knows, it could even lead to public service announcements?

    "Won't you please help?"

I like the idea of not turning up to work because I'm angry about something. I may try it later this week.

I'm actually really ticked off that you said that, so I'm staying home this week. You'll be hearing from my boss.

Seriously though, this is very puzzling. Something is up that hasn't hit the news yet.

He must of been really mad. That guy was a model citizen player every year he was here.

They may have played for other teams, but it's the Steelers who they were fond of once their careers were over and Woodson and Greene both in the HOF attribute their playing days with Pittsburgh as being the most rememberable.

He was in Pittsburgh running from Hurricane Irma. Mike Pouncy was also here for the storm

Edit: I said here like I still lived there. I am 69 years old. Joined the Marines when I was 17. Never lived in Pittsburgh again LOL. I did live in Connellsville for 3 years

Don't know about Brown, but you missed twice with Woodson and Greene. Both went into the hall as Steelers.

Whoa... strange, maybe he got some serious medical condition?

I'm not buying missing Pitt that much, isn't he FROM Florida?

Yea I mean I feel bad for Timmons and hope he is okay but moving on and playing for another team is part of the business. If Timmons can't accept that and deal with it maybe he shouldn't be playing football anymore.

He played college ball in Florida, but I don't believe he was born there. South Carolina is his home state.... I'm pretty sure.

Sounds like he was at the airport flying home to Pittsburgh to look after a personal matter.

    Family emergency?

Very true, but both were irked that the Steelers didn't want to keep them, and, by their actions, basically told them they were toast and couldn't play anymore. They both went on to prove they had a lot left in the tank. Greene's replacement (Gildon) went on to set the team sack record (until Harrison broke it) so you can't fault that move so much.

Someone said maybe he is getting bullied :roflmao:

Hope they forgot to use the green font. One just doesn't bully the Lawdog.

If Vince Williams goes missing, they have a suspect.

Seriously though, strange situation. Hope everything works out for him.
