You got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    Know when to run...

Maybe they offer something close to a figure we can match. I really think he wants to be back

Some just don't know how to let go. I can see him in a Dolphins uniform. And alas we get younger and faster...

Yeah imo the front office learned their lesson on holding onto vets when they no longer can perform ALL their duties. Yes Timmons got tackles but other than that he couldn't keep up. As much as I hate to see him go it's time. Timmons came into the NFL very young. He is thirty and has already played 10 years. It's time to move on.

I have loved watching Timmons over the years.

I still recall watching him in his final season in 2006. Florida St vs Miami to open up the year. Still one of the greatest college games I ever watched. I just remember how fast both teams looked especially on defense. It was that game that Timmons opened my eyes and I remember being so happy when we drafted him.

As great of a career he has had, the Steelers generally know when to let someone go. Based on his declining play, it's time to let Timmons go.

    Been a great ride!

Please Miami... offer him a big contract... so we don't have to feel bad about not really wanting him back (on a big longer term contract)

It should be a good fit they play a lot of 4-3 with man concepts the way they play it the LB usually gets the TE..Timmons is not much in coverage now days , but getting him on the TE is a lot better than what he has to do here...In our Zone based D he is forced to play a area and Teams bring the speedy slot WR'S and RB'S into his zone by design...It is clear he doesn't have the speed to play them ,but in our D he is forced to do so...I hope Miami signs him it is best for all involved...

Florida State is a long way from Miami and he originally was from South Carolina. Not much of a homecoming, probably more of they were the only team interested?

Why do you insist on just making up such general nonsense?

Why do you intend like you are the be all end all of how the NFL is and should be ? If you are that great please take KC job as good as you think you are you should be able to do his job in your sleep...

There is more to Football than what your websites tell you, had you ever played or Coached you would understand that...

Why are all your posts nonsensical word salads?

It's very easy to tell when someone has never even seen a playbook.

    Nice try

I was good enough that I didn't need the playbook when I played...When I Coached I let the other Coaches worry about that and I just taught them common sense....For example when it is 3rd. and 18 you can give up the first 15 yards just don't let them run an easy out for 19 yards if they try that throw that is your ball...

It seems these complex schemes are hurting more than just our players ,it seems to have effected you as well...

Your 3rd and 18 example (that I've broken down for you before) is a perfect illustration of not even understanding the basics

Only 1 basic they needed 18 yards and our CB let them have the space to catch it for 19....You can paint that with any brush you want....The bottom line is that color is ugly....

What you think is "common sense", is actually not knowing anything about about a playcall.

Well maybe our players would be better off not knowing? The game is simple they need 18 ...Don't let them have it..
