Timing of Bye Week

Never thought I'd actually feel this way, but this week 4 bye that is coming up is huge for us as far as getting healthy goes and I think is part of the reason guys like Troy and Harrison are sitting again this week. If the bye wasn't coming up next week, I could see these guys trying to rush back, not being all that effective, and jeopoardizing some time later in the year. They are playing it safe knowing the bye week is next week and hopefully those guys (and Mendy) are fully ready to go vs. Philly on Oct. 7.

 

yeah the early bye should help us. The rats play 4 games in 17 days, their injury report should be getting pretty long.

 

good and bad, i'd say. now we will have to win 16 straight after this, thats all. that should be doable. we can't go 19-0 now, so 18 in a row is so much easier.

 

We've had a problem with Vick in the past too (and we face the Eagles after the bye). In two games against us (unless I'm forgetting a third), Vick has thrown for 526yrds and 5td's and ran for 78yrds and 1td (better than most elite rb's do over a two-game period against us). We are yet to beat him (0-1-1).

 

I'll take 18-1 It will be a heck of a lot better than the last 18-1 for sure.

I'm okay with it for purely selfish reasons. My wife is hosting a baby shower on Sept. 30th so, now, I can go fishing and not worry about missing a game! :thumbsup:
