let's face facts, ryan mundy has started 3 games for us. larry foote has started 3 games for us. casey starts and was absolutely owned by weisneiwski (sp?). he was the cutback point, and for GODSAKE he waddles. i love casey but man this is not working for the most part. it's time for a charlie batch role. lewis has never been able to start over bryant mcfadden and william gay for 3 years. now he's our starter. DLB is being outmanned on the field. is it really his fault? is it really the scheme?

i think it's a combination of the players and scheme , we don't have a depth at safeties and linebackers , have to see better heiward and taamu to tell you if the problem is at def line too , what worry me the most is that people like mundy and lewis are still on the roster ,seems or the evalution is wrong or we are happy with mediocrity , i mean why we ignore to draft a safety when we know polamalu miss a lot of games , because we have mundy or will allen ? ,i don't get it

for ex i saw yesterday kam chancellor , 5rd in 2010 to name one
just look at some practice squad there will be somebody better than mundy and allen , for ex eddy pleasant is on huston ps he was good at oregon , we have to find better depth than we have if we want to build something better for the defense

How about motivating these young men? There is talent on this team
and they are better than how they have played to this point.
They all need a wake up call COACHES included.

I like Tomlin. He's a local boy who still comes back to our favorite bar where he worked while he was in college. He's a good guy. That said, being a good guy doesn't make you a good coach, and certainly not one of a rough and tumble, old school football team. I want him to do well, and I'm willing to continue supporting him, but I've never felt like he had the same fire in his belly as the other coaches. He just never seems to actually *do* anything to fix the issues that we've had since he came on board. The Rooneys should never have had to step in on the Arians firing. Ben should have been put in his place a bit a few years in a row now. The same old, same old defense doesn't work anymore, not because it's not a good plan, but because football has changed.

There's no shame in admitting things have to change because what we've always done doesn't work anymore, and both of these guys need to step up, grow some hair on their boys, say it, and do something about it.
