I like the way the Team looks with both out TE'S on the field . Mcdonald and Ebron can both split out and Mcdonald is an absolute Beast in the open field after the catch he runs like a FB . Ebron is a crisp route runner and is a mismatch for DB'S and LB'S. here is a nice link on 2 TE sets.
IMO we need to use these guys more and rotatehttps://bleacherreport.com/articles/1624948-breaking-down-why-the-two-tight-end-offense-is-the-best-in-the-nfl the WR'S in with each other. We are more dangerous with the TE'S on the field and I hope to see them on the field together more often from now on..

I like the Nasty set as we called it because it is great for creating a extra running lane and it gives the TE'S more options on their route tree ..It also helps them make blocks on running plays and chip DE'S that love to loop .. here is a nice read on Nasty splits .https://winningyouthfootball.com/2007/05/the-nasty-split/

I just really think we have the right TE'S to make this work we ran it a lot in HS and it can be very effective it forces the Defense to adjust how they want to play the run, blitz and cover ..As a former Coach I would love to have this group and see just how effective this approach could be in todays NFL.

You should be our OC because the one we have today doesn't know what to do with TEs

    This.

These two on the field will give defensive coordinators fits. So many options. You can run or pass out of the same formation with both of them on the field. Screens? Check-downs? Trap-sweeps? And the moment the secondary gets too aggressive or misses an assignment, either of them are 20 yards down the middle with a 5 yard cushion. And you can even motion one of them to read the defense and reposition him right at the end of the line or split him out wide. Hope we have a bunch of games in a row to actually see this used.

I agree with the OP 100%. I think as the season goes on we will become more and more effective with our 2 TE sets. I think that's what the Steelers org. envisioned when they signed Ebron, and kept Vance.

It was either that or focus the offense around Ryan Switzer. Toss up, I know. They couldn't do both, unfortunately.

Neither does our DC, which concerns me this week because if we take away Ertz like the 49ers did they don't have much else.

Bit off topic but speaking of tight ends, I remember when Jesse James took over for Heath Miller (a great Steeler!!!!) and would catch a pass and the fans stilled yelled "Heath"............................

Just wait until he learns the Browns' playbook. That's the only thing keeping him on the ps. Once he hits the field, he and Baker are money. (Put as much green on that as you need)

Yes, luckily Dallas Goedert will miss this game with a fractured ankle, so that will also help the D

We are scoring almost 27 points per game. 26.6666. if The kicker wouldn't have missed an extra point we would be sitting right at 27 points per game. The defense seems to be the side of the ball keeping it close in every game. We have had a 100 yard rushers in every game so far and good balance yet you still fault our OC.

It's a shame whoever controls the fake crowd noise doesn't have a "Heeeeath" button to press for Ebron or McDonald.
