Hi guys.. Looking for a good place to get tickets for the sold out Ratbirds game Oct 1st. Checking around places like Ebay, Stubhub and prices are ridiculous. vividseats.com seems about the most affordable. Any and all ideas greatly appreciated :)

I have bought from Stubhub, and Vivid Seats for various events. I tend to stay away from ebay as some of there listings are not always completely truthfull. You may also want to try SeatGeek. It supposedly looks at all the ticket sites and gives you the best prices. It's a pretty neat site, but I have never bought from them. Also try the NFL Ticket Exchange. I have had success with them also. I am also warry about buying from craigslist. I have seen too many people buy tickets from an individual only to find out it was a "copy" and someone had already used the original to get into the stadium, and they be denied access.

If you have the nerve to wait till a week before the game the prices on ticket exchange drop like a rock.

Or like Glenn said it takes nerve but, If you wait till kickoff the scalpers will take what you give them and also but, that is a rats game. Going to be hard to get in, let alone chaep

Thanks Glenn. Good to know.. I am a bit OCD in the sense I need to get stuffed booked. But you know what.. I might actually try that.. Interesting that you brought that up because a buddy of mine asked me if prices would drop nearer the date..

I told him this was a Thursday night game and televised ESPN ( I think) so it's not likely prices are going to drop..

Problem is if I book the rooms in advance I might not have a game to attend hahahaha

Seriously thinking about what you said though.. Thanks bro

I am not sure I have the nerve.. I need nerves of Steel haha.

Last year we stayed at the Sheraton and took the Clipper for the Bucs game ( wow they lost hehe)

Had some tickets that we were trying to unload and the scalper gladly took them off our hands ..

Good ideas Coastal and I am greatful .. Thank you

Some of those night games are the hardest to get full attendance. Remember the last couple seasons and the complaints about people not attending games.
A lot of people won't go or leave early because they have to get up early the next day.

yeah I was going to suggest what Glenn and Costal did.

If you have the right attitude...just think of it as a weekend in Pittsburgh. There's plenty to do here to fill up a weekend. Plan to come in Wed night and get a room. Sightsee Thursday all day. Rest up in the afternoon. Head over to Bettis' for some dinner and beer and if you get tickets, great. If not you got away for a while, spent some time in a diff city, did some cool ****, and relaxed. Do some more sightseeing on Friday and come home Saturday. Sounds like a winner to me.

If you need tickets. Head over to Hyde Park Steak House near Bettis' and as soon as you walk in the door at the first two high tables on your left will be a ticket broker. His name is Jonathan. You won't be able to miss him. He'll be ther with his laptop. He's the man. There's a good chance he may have left over tickets as game time nears. See him. Maybe you can get a last minute deal.

I have recommended this in the past for many games. Only factor here is Baltimore fans do a good job of traveling here. Although, probably not without a ticket in hand.

Busman, after thinking about this a little more, and not knowing where you live, my thoughts are: if you live in the Burgh, wait until game time and scalp a ticket. Worse thing that happens, you watch it on TV in a local establishment. If you have to travel, buy a ticket however possible and delete the stress.

I just bought tickets to this game. Got them off Stubhub. They were expensive, but not getting them wasn't an option. Also going to the Pirates game on the Wednesday. Can't wait
