Watched a little bit of the highlights from the Ravens game to see Bubba up to his old tricks. Suggs as is his usual was over aggressive coming of the edge and was burned by a draw. After seeing the RB run right past him he decided why not hit the QB and proceed to make a driving tackle on the QB. Going to be a fun season playing them.

Edit: Here is a link to see the play in question. I think the site is by a Ravens fan because they claim it's a good football play but I'm sorry there is no way that Suggs thinks Bradford has the ball

I fail to see the problem. He saw a chance to hit the QB and took it. Even if it was a bit late, any chance you get to crush the QB, you take it. Once upon a time, we perfected that kind of play. We physically beat up our opponents. I like aggressiveness and tough play

Shaner I value aggressive hard hitting football as well but this isn't the past and that hit while 15 years ago would have been fine in my book, now it is a cheap shot. Even if Bradford had kept the ball on a fake handoff, Suggs had plenty of opportunity to keep his feet, wrap him up and get the sack. It has been a point of emphasis in the league the last four years about where to target when tackling and Suggs was flirting with the line between a good tackle and the point where you knock a guy out for the season

That thug tried to take bradfords knees out with his helmet, he has a fine coming this week, and I hope it's a big one, that piece of sh## has been trying to injure Ben every time we play them, in my opinion he is the dirtiest player in the league and has been getting away with it way to long, time to rein him in, they did it to James Harrison so do it to that animal...

You guys have said it all already.

More telling is how they know it was a bad play and they were arguing to the referees like they were screwed out of a sack!

    And it wasn't just Suggs.

I dislike Suggs and think he is a dirty player, but I'm not 100% sure Suggs is at fault there. I don't buy the NFL's explanation that it was a clean hit because it could have been a read option play, but I also think Suggs could have hit Bradford WAY harder than he did. Had Bradford not tried to spin out of the way, Suggs would have hit a little bit higher, I think. And the hit wouldn't have looked nearly as bad. I will say though, that if that hit was on one of the Golden Boy QB's, Suggs would be fined. It's just the way the NFL works these days.

He also could have hit Bell a lot harder when he targeted the back of his legs as well. This is a pattern with him taking that little extra shot. I guess he figures if he doesn't blast them, it's ok and puts some intimidation into them.

Well, it seems to work for him, so why not continue it until you get fined?

If he were JH he would have been fined. We know that for sure!

I'd like to say why not continue as well, but those are some career ending injuries that can happen if he goes too hard. (Ball so Hard U)

I get that he's making a statement against the rules by doing it as well.
