They are ok and I do not mind them. Actually I always thought those ones they used back in 94 were pretty cool

I've never cared much either way for the throwbacks. It's cool to see some history represented, but for some reason I just never get that excited about it.

I believed those were based on the original 1933 jerseys. Let's just hope they don't use the '34 jerseys, which look more suited for someone hitting rocks with a pick in a jail yard.

I, for one, like the throwbacks. Any idea what our record is when we wear them? I know we lost to NE last year and I think we wore them when we lost to NYG in 2008, but I think that's it. Probably puts us at about 6-2, right?

We were a combined 8-10 with those unis posted above (1933 - 1934). Lets hope that kind of performance doesn't rub off.

I could go either way on the throwbacks. The '33 and '34 jerseys are hanus, except for the leather helmets, which should be used today. Definitely look like jailyard attire.

But the style we're wearing on Sunday we've only been wearing for the last few years, right? Those are the ones that I think we've only lost those couple times with and usually we play well when wearing them.

I am hoping the Ravens wear their throwbacks on Sunday, which would transform them into the Cleveland Browns!!! Lol!!!!

I like these throwbacks every now and again....I was browsing on the ravens message board last sunday after we won, and some ravens fan thought if we wear our throwbacks that they could choose to wear their all black jersey's and pants to come out and INTIMIDATE us hahahahah.....Our home uniform is black, case closed. I'm not sure wearing an all black uniform would intimidate any one especially the Steelers lol

I have always thought those all solid color special uni's that the Raven wear look like pajamas, which would be perfect for when the Defense tucks him in for night night Sunday!

    That's what I'm talking about!!

With block numbers, we'd "win more games, loose no more".
(I really wish I'd have saved that legendary quote, can anyone share original, here?)

Hahahahahaha ahahahahaha ahahahahhhhh OMG huh huh huh hahahahahaha.....

This happened right before I started to "visit" the old board. I have read the recounts of this for years in many posts after but never actually read the post it's self. It was always quoted accurately and harmless yet funny. But he was always referred to as "Pimply Dan" and I never though much about it beyond, "poor guy that related to that moniker enough to call himself that". NOW I see everyones take on the name. After all this time that moment I saw his name (above) I almost fell out of my seat with laughter. It's as funny as the quote.

This screen grab should be pinned at the top of the Steelers Talk page. Ahhhhhhh good stuff ya'll....

Pimply Dan made himself infamous right when I joined the board. I feel honored to have been a part of this history. :hello:

I had been reading the board for a couple of years, but still hadn't been able to successfully register and post when the whole pimply dan incident took place.
