Thoughts on the Cleveland game.

In the 40yrs I have known and pulled for the steelers I can honestly say I have never pulled for them to lose. The thought of being beat by the browns let alone being swept by them is disgusting and makes me want to puke.

That being said I ask what's the point of winning this game, to finish on a positive note?
A few years back we drafted Timmons because SF drafted Willis right before us. We drafted Mendy because Carolina picked stewart right before us. So how important are those one or two draft positions?

I can't say I'm pulling for the stains to win but if they do I won't be mad, like I was when we lost to dallas or the chargers or the ravens or cinn or raiders or the stains the 1st time around.

I really want to draft an immediate impact player on defense whether its Teo' @ ILBer or the top safety on the board in the 1st rd and a solid RB in the 2nd and draft position is how we do that.

I never root for a loss for any reason. If it happens, it happens.. but never root for it. Because we all know the draft is a crap shoot at best.

 

You're both right. The best thing now for us is a great draft and draft position helps but it is a crap shoot.

I would definately start as many youngsters as possible to evaluate talent and see just what we really have and need.

I suggest reverse psychology - I'm sure every poster herein has rooted for the Steelers endlessly this season - every game up until now - and look where that has gotten us. I fear that if most of you root for a loss just for draft pick sake - they will come out on all cylinders and disappoint you once again with a huge win. Best to remain neutral and not mess with the Fates - then no one will be surprised with the outcome. As I said elsewhere - I'm just consumed with apathy.

 

The Steelers aren't going to lose to the Browns they are starting a 3rd string qb.
